Micro System, Big Performance |
Components in the DM33S system are small, yet they are endowed with circuitry for superior quality sound and sport an attractive design that blends easily with any interior. The front panel is made of silver aluminum, and a half mirror has been added to the display window to enhance the appearance. Capacitors developed for high-quality audio have been used in the circuitry of the power amp that determines sound quality and in the D/A converter section that converts the digital signal from the CD into an analog signal. In addition, the DM33S's high-class components feature Burr-Brown D/A converters, well-known for superior sonic performance. The converters faithfully preserve both the powerful dynamics and the delicate nuances of sound as they convert the CD's digital signals into analog form for the speakers. |

The DM33S is a micro component system that lets you enjoy CD and tuner functions in a single unit. The CD section features a CD-R/CD-RW-compatible CD player that is compatible with WMA adn MP3 sound files. The DM33S packs output power of 22 Watts + 22 Watts. An optical digital output provides direct transmission of digital signals, and an everyday/once/sleep timer is sure to come in handy. There's also AM/FM 40 station preset memory tuning, a headphone jack, and super dynamic bass sound. The DM33S system is supplied with a pair of SCM53 compact loudspeakers. |
Speaking of Speakers |
The SCM53 is a speaker system with high sound quality that has been newly tuned for the RCDM33 receiver. The bass driver has an inverted-profile double layer cone. This one-piece design does not use a center cap, providing greater rigidity across the surface of the bass cone. The driver uses a dual-layer cone. Detailed "finite element analysis" was used to find the optimum thickness on each part of the sub-cone and the best connection point between the main cone and the voice coil. This design controls the break-up modes of the cone for a more stable sound. |
Finishing Touches |
The speaker cabinets on the DM33S are constructed with MDF material. The acoustic design of the cabinet was optimized through laser scan measurements of vibration in the cabinet. Careful attention has been given to the rear of the speakers as well, where higher quality 5-way binding terminals are featured. The system's efficiently compact design, coupled with the speakers' European-style wood-grain finish, makes the DM33S an elegant addition to your office or den. |
