No Hassle Sirius Satellite Radio At Home

With the Sirius Conductor SCH1W home tuner and RF wireless display controller for compatible A/V receivers, you can receive, control, and play Sirius Satellite Radio programming through your home theater system. To fire up satellite radio at home, all you have to do is connect the Conductor to your receiver with included cable, position the provided indoor/outdoor satellite radio antenna, and activate your Sirius subscription (not included, service/activation fees apply). You can operate the Conductor with the included controller from up to 150-feet away. RCA stereo and optical digital audio tuner outputs are included. There are two ways to power the Conductor. Power can come from the A/V receiver through the included DIN cable or from the supplied AC adapter. And if your receiver doesn't support audio input through the DIN cable connection, you can connect the audio to your sound system with an RCA stereo cable (included) or a digital optical audio cable (not included). The Conductor is not a stand-alone radio; the unit itself has no controls or alphanumeric display.

Controller Works Through Walls, Ceiling, And Floors

The Conductor's RF wireless controller works from virtually anywhere in the house. Because it uses radio frequency instead of infrared, you don't need to have a line-of-sight between the controller and the Conductor or other component. The controller will work through walls, ceilings, and floors from up to 150-feet away. A 3-line LCD screen with adjustable contrast and backlight time duration displays the Sirius radio song title, artist name, channel name, and other information. There are 30 Sirius channel presets so you can find your favorite entertainment fast. You can operate two Sirius radios with the controller and up to 12 other multibrand A/V components. If the control code for a component isn't among the codes already preprogrammed into the controller, a learning function allows the controller to determine the control code from the component's remote control. There's even a macro function that allows you to program up to 30 keystrokes into the push of a single button. An included IR blaster with cable plugs into the Conductor tuner and can be placed near the IR receiving eye on your A/V receiver.

Onkyo, Pioneer, JVC, Sony, Integra, and Accurian all make selected Sirius-ready A/V receiver models compatible with the SiriusConnect SCH1 home tuner. A Sirius-ready receiver must have an 8-pin DIN input to be compatible.

Intuitively Obvious To The Most Casual Observer

This goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway--Sirius is not XM. Sirius and XM satellite radio services are competitors, although a merger is in the works; but for now they are separate entities. The two offer similar programming, but the personalities and sports coverage varies. If you want Howard Stern, the NFL, and the NBA, you want Sirius.
