Set The Music Free |
| The Sonos ZonePlayer 100 (ZP100) brings great sounding music to any room in your house. And we do mean any room. That's because the wireless ZP100, with its built-in amplifier, will work anywhere you've ever dreamed of having music. With 50 Watts per channel of power and a THD+N of less than .02 percent, you can count on superior audio quality playback -- without hisses, crackles or hums. All you have to do is plug it in, connect your choice of speakers and you've got a room filled with music. You can even connect the ZP100 to your favorite CD or MP3 player and listen to that music on all the other ZonePlayers (sold separately) in your house. |
Wireless, Multi-Room Digital Music |
| ZonePlayers can go anywhere and connect wirelessly when a wired Ethernet connection is not available. ZonePlayers and Controllers will establish their own secure wireless mesh network. NOTE: The first ZonePlayer you install must connect to your home network using a standard Ethernet cable. SonosNet technology is a secure AES encrypted, peer-to-peer wireless mesh network that streams music wirelessly to other ZonePlayers, avoiding sources of wireless interference while ensuring synchronous music playback. Multi-zone synchronous playback plays the same song simultaneously in up to 32 different zones (extra ZonePlayers required) without echoes or delays. Multi-stream playback plays different songs simultaneously in up to 32 different zones. |
Superior Audio Quality |
| The ZP100's built-in amplifier powers large or small speakers with 50 watts of power per channel. With tone and volume controls, you can optimize sound performance for each zone, using zone-specific bass, treble, balance, and loudness controls. You can adjust volume by zone or group of zones. If you add a subwoofer, the ZonePlayer automatically adjusts the output to send the low frequencies to the subwoofer and the high frequencies to the speaker. With radiant cooling, the ZP100 operates silently -- all you can hear is the music. |
Supports Multiple Music Formats |
| The ZP100 plays music from your personal digital music collection, music services, Internet radio, or all of the above. It accesses music stored on up to 16 PCs, Macs or NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices on your home network, as well as music services and Internet radio stations, and even CD or MP3 players connected to a ZonePlayer. The ZP100 supports compressed MP3, WMA (including purchased Windows Media downloads), AAC (MPEG4), Ogg Vorbis, Audible (format 4), Apple Lossless, Flac (lossless) music files, as well as uncompressed WAV and AIFF files. You get native support for 44.1kHz sample rates, and additional support for 48kHz, 32kHz, 24kHz, 22kHz, 16kHz, 11kHz, and 8kHz sample rates. (Apple "Fairplay" and WMA Lossless formats are not currently supported) |
Supports Multiple Media Sources |
| The ZonePlayer 100 plays Internet radio stations using streaming MP3 or WMA formats. ZonePlayer comes with over 300 pre-programmed radio stations and it's simple to add more via the Sonos Desktop Controller (sold separately). Music from an external audio source (such as a CD player, radio or MP3 player) connected to a ZP100 can be played by all other ZonePlayers in the system. You get support for music services like Rhapsody 3.0+ and downloads from: AOL Music Now, Audible.com, eMusic, Napster, URGE, Wal-Mart, Yahoo! Music Unlimited, and Zune Marketplace. Playlists from Rhapsody, iTunes, WinAmp, Windows Media Player and MusicMatch (.m3u, .pls, .wpl) can also be played. |
Ease of Set-Up and Use |
| The ZonePlayer 100 gives you automatic wired or wireless setup. You can initialize your new ZP100 with the press of a single button. The expandable system design allows you to expand your digital music system room by room. Sonos system software supports English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. The ZP100 fits in spaces where traditional stereo components and shelf systems cannot. A front panel volume control provides quick and easy access to volume and mute controls when you don't have a Controller in hand. |
Other Cool Features |
| The ZP100 gives you some extra features that you're sure to appreciate, like an alarm with clock, snooze, sleep timer and scheduler features. Set the alarm to wake up to your favorite music or Internet radio station in one room or all over the house. Fall asleep to soothing music with the sleep timer. Use the scheduler to play music at a specific time for a set duration (great for that 30-minute workout). Automatic library indexing lets you schedule your library to automatically update on a daily basis. This is ideal for updated podcasts and Audible content. The ZP100 has four Ethernet ports that can be used to connect other devices to the home network through SonosNet. |
