With Virtua Tennis 3, you can experience professional tennis from a first-person viewpoint as one of 20 different pros. The players are: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Lleyton Hewitt, Andy Roddick, Tim Henman, James Blake, Tommy Haas, Sebastien Grosjean, Mario Ancic, Juan Carlos Ferrero, David Nalbandian, Taylor Dent, Gael Monfils, Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams, Martina Hingis, Lindsay Davenport, Nicole Vaidisova, Daniela Huntuchova, and Amelie Mauresmoro. But, if you decide you are up to the challenge, you can create your own player on the game, editing looks, clothes, and even abilities, and then use that character to rise through the ranks to become a world champion. Either way, you can make up for amateur athleticism with a good pair of controller thumbs to unleash your inner Wimbledon winner. |

| You wouldn't think that a game named "Virtua Tennis 3" would be one to inspire philosophical contemplations. It's quite understandable though, that when playing, you would suddenly begin to question what reality is. After all, this game is designed with full 1080p resolution to bring you graphics so real, you'll want to mow the grass at Wimbledon. In addition to that, a SIXAXIS wireless controller (sold separately) allows you to control in-game movement by moving the controller (a PS3 exclusive). After you play this for an hour or two, you might head down to your local court, thinking you're ready to take on Andy Roddick or Venus Williams. Well, chances are you're not. That's just the blurring of the line between the game and reality. But then again, what is reality anyway? |
