Diverse Cooking Options

With the MH1160XSS, you have many options for cooking your food. Manual cooking lets you select the length of time and power level from the touch pad. But if you want to let the microwave do the thinking for you, it offers Quick Touch Cooking. The Quick Touch menu pads provide convenient access to preset cooking programs for common microwavable foods. For exmple, popcorn, beverages, pizza, baked potatoes, and frozen entrees all have their own Quick Touch button. All you have to do is select the serving size from the scrolling menu. Times and cooking power have also been preset for certain microwavable foods, such as bacon, canned vegetables, fresh vegetables, frozen vegetables, and rice. Reheating times and cooking powers have also been preset for casseroles, dinner plates, soups/sauces, and baked goods. Defrosting is as simple as selecting what kind of food and how much you have to defrost. You can also choose to manually enter defrost information.

Handy Features

In addition to a multitude of cooking options, the MH1160XSS also provides some other handy features. For example, the sunken glass turntable can rotate in either direction o help cook food more evenly, or it can be turned off for manual cooking cycles. This is helpful when you are cooking with plates that are larger than the turntable, or when you're cooking with two plates that are side-by-side. A cooking rack is also included for your convenience. The cooking rack is ideal for two-level cooking. It provides extra cavity space for cooking two or more containers at the same time. Hot, cooked food can be kept warm in the microwave. Warm Hold can be used by itself to follow a cooking cycle. And the Add 30 Seconds button is an easy way to extend your cooking time quickly.

Making Cleanup Easy

The MH1160XSS comes with a charcoal filter and grease filters for clean venting. The grease filters can be removed and washed, either by hand or in the dishwasher. The turntable is also dishwasher safe, so cleaning the microwave is easy.
