Most washers use the settings you choose to determine how much water and energy to use during a cycle. This doesn't work out very conveniently if you have a load too big to be medium, but too small to be large, for example. To account for the discrepency of each load of laundry being different, Whirlpool added the 6th Sense to the WTW6700TW. 6th Sense is a sensor system that, as soon as a cycle begins, starts determining the load size and calculating how much water and energy to use, increasing efficiency and therefore your pocketbook. Oh, and your brain. Your brain doesn't need all that work.
