A camouflage freezer? |
| Most freezers today come in a choice of one, two, or maybe even three choices of finish. This, unfortunately, means, many people have to either settle for the freezer they really didn't want, but it matches, or keep the freezer somewhere else, such as the garage or laundry room. This especially becomes a problem for people with custom cabinetry for their other kitchen problems. Sub-Zero thought that frozen food should be kept where it belongs: in the kitchen. that's why, when designing the 700TFI, they built it to be integrated. This means that you can purchase panels from your cabinetmaker to match virtually any kitchen decor. The hundreds of choices of finish for this freezer definitely beat the three options available on most models. Now, you don't have to settle on your kitchen design, or put on boots and a jacket every time you need a pound of burger. Additionally, this model was built to be taller, not wider, so it can still store over 15 cubic feet of food without taking up half of your cooking space. The 700TFI lets you keep you food where it should be: in the kitchen. Make this chameleon-like freezer yours today! |

Divide and conquer! |
| Rather than create one mammoth food storage area that could leave you looking for that last bag of peas for hours, Viking took a different approach building the 700TFI. They divided the 15.3 cubic feet of storage space between a larger cavity and two smaller food drawers. That way, you can keep that last box of Hot Pockets where you know you can find them, but still have room for that side of hog. The top portion features three adjustable shelves and one stationary shelf, as well as four different door bins, giving you plenty of storage options. Below that are the two slide-out drawers, one of which holds a removable divider. Finally, the 700TFI uses flat-to-the-ceiling-lighting, so it's not as much of a challenge to pack that "one more thing" in. With all these options, the only question that remains is "What are you going to do with all that extra time you save?" |

Neato! |
| But it's not all about the big things like storage options or integrated design. The 700TFI is packed with numerous innovative features that may not merit a whole paragraph of explanation, but certainly deserve being mentioned. Features like an automatic icemaker, or easy, up-front electronic controls, or a door alarm which sounds an alert if any of the doors are left partially open, saving you energy. In fact, this model boasts some impressive energy figures, costing about $60 per year to operate*. It comes with an automatic defrost feature, a patented 90° door stop, and even spill-proof shelves. To top this all off, the 700TFI is Star-K Kosher certified for use on the Sabbath as well as Jewish holidays due to its included Sabbath Mode. Features like those, we thought, deserve to be mentioned.

Actual ice cubes! |
| Are you tired of ice cubes that come out of the tray misshapen and stuck together? So was Sub-Zero. On this new freezer, they included an adaptive defrost timer which only defrosts when it needs to defrost something. This also keeps the temperature more constant, so your ice cubes come out as just that: cubes. Not pyramids, not spheres, not a sheet, and not a block, just perfect cubes. |
