The CB-SP1200's left and right channel speakers include (on each side) a 3.38" Onkyo MicroFiber (OMF_ woofer and a .75" balanced dome tweeter. These are housed in internally isolated chambers including a front port for improved bass response. You'll hear the highs, you'll hear the lows, and you'll hear everything in between. The center channel has a pair of woofers flanking a single tweeter, also in a ported chamber. All speakers are magnetically shielded - a must-have feature these days to prevent interferance with video displays. The overall frequency response is 50Hz - 100kHz, ensuring you are hearing exactly what the soundtrack producers intended you to hear! Without any additional speakers, this system chimes in as a 3.0 system. With the addition of an additional pair of speakers and a receiver, the CB-SP1200 becomes an integral part of a 5.1 system. If you have a 6.1 or 7.1 receiver, the addition of more speakers combined with the CB-SP1200 will fill your room with mind-blowing audio you have to hear to believe!

The CB-SP1200 unit features an attractive seven-coat black lacquer finish that is hand rubbed to a beautiful high gloss finish. The accessory shelf is included to hold a receiver, DVD player, or other electronic components, and an attractive full-width black grille is used to conceal the speakers.The CB-SP1200 is entirely constructed from the ground up of sturdy, low resonance MDF for exceptional strength and stability. Setup is incredibly fast and simple, involving no tools at all; the left and right legs simply fold down, and the lower shelf inserted to completely stabilize the unit. This will handle those large televisions to be sure, so smaller models will feel at home, including some CRT units.
