Tweeters sing the high notes

The technology behind the Teteron tweeter is what allows the Athena products to offer loud, exceptionally clear, accurate, high frequency reproduction with extremely low distortion. The Teteron dome tweeter is a durable synthetic material in a dome shape, specially contoured to reduce distortion, and to fit into the bezel custom designed to amplify and control the tweeter's dispersion. The Teteron material is impervious to moisture, so it is durable and won't change over time. It also has huge sonic benefits over metal tweeters, which have inherent ringing problems.Perhaps the best part of the Athena ASIC6 is that the same tweeter is used throughout the entire series of products. This provides perfect timbre-matching of front, rear, and center speakers regardless of which model you decide to buy.

Woofers provide the low notes

The woofers used in the ASIC6 are designed for high performance, high efficiency, durability, and, of course, great sound! These cones are comprised of injection molded polypropylene designed to stay rigid during the most extreme excursion, yet it is light enough to enable fast movement, which means accurate and tight bass response. The rubber surrounds utilized in the ASIC6 are the best available and provide quiet woofer movement and durability.

Avoid the installation blues

The ASIC6 was designed for quick and easy installation. With a few simple tools the ASIC6 can be installed in almost any room of the house. The actual speaker install takes seconds, or minutes if you happen to be all thumbs. What takes some time is running speaker cables to the desired installation location. My advice? Pay someone else to do it. Ask Vann's custom installation department to install it for you. They have the right tools and years of experience under their utility belts. You? You'd trash your drywall and, again, if you're all thumbs, you might be inspired to trash more than just that.
