Yamaha's goal in developing loudspeakers has always been to maximize the three most important qualities of home theater speakers: accuracy, response speed, and depth. This goal has been brilliantly achieved in the NSFP4600 5.1-channel system, enabling each of the speakers to deliver incredible accuracy and detail, so you can actually hear sounds you might have missed in the theater. This speaker package gives you the convenience of an all-in-one system with high quality speakers and the Plasma-Slim Profile design blends perfectly with your flat-panel TV for a chic and stylish look. Not only are these speakers perfectly matched for acoustics and design, but they take advantage of unique technologies that Yamaha originally developed for its high-end speakers. With an amplifier or receiver and a DVD player, you'll enjoy movies with sensational surround sound. What's more, even with their extremely high quality, these speakers are small enough for easy positioning in rooms of any size.

Plenty Of Power

The NSFP4600 system is capable of delivering a total power output of 590 watts from its six speakers. The dual 3-way acoustic suspension front speakers each boast quad 4.00" woofers and a 0.75" soft dome tweeter as well as extruded aluminum tabletop stands. For the center channel, a 2-way acoustic suspension speaker with two 4.00" woofers and a 0.75" soft dome tweeter produces sharp dialog for your DVD movies. To complete the multichannel effect, twin 2-way acoustic suspension surround speakers each with a 3.00" woofer and 0.50" balanced dome tweeter, direct the sound to your ears from over your shoulder. And Yamaha's Advanced YST/QD Bass technology, built into the 50 watt, 6.50" multirange powered subwoofer brings you those crucial low frequency effects like thunder claps and explosions with an added degree of realism. All six of the NSFP4600's speakers are magnetically shielded to eliminate any placement problems and the cloth grilles on each of the satellite speakers are removeable.

Yamaha Cares About The Bass

Yamaha's patented Advanced Active Servo Technology (Advanced YST) generates incredible bass from small speaker enclosures. Advanced YST is the ideal method of combining amplifiers and speakers for maximum performance. This system's advanced negative impedance converters intelligently adjust the negative impedance generation as the speaker moves, creating a hard, rigid cone that prevents deep resonant waves from leaking out of the speaker cone. This means the full power of the waves is forced out through the air port, resulting in clear, powerful bass.
