Due to delays in the printing of our invoices, some differences may exist in our policies from time to time. Always refer to this online version of our policy for the most recent update.

Holiday Return Policy

For purchases made between November 1 2011 and December 24 2011, any product in it's original condition and packaging may be returned for money back or exchange until up to January 7, 2011. This does not include items purchased from the Clearance Center. Please see below for details on Clearance Center Items. This does not include opened CD, DVD, VHS tape, Apple items, computers, or software.


Vann's Return Policy

Within 30 days, you may return, for money back or exchange, any new, unopened product. unopened items returned after the 30-day period are subject to a minimum 20% restock fee.


Within 15 days, you may return, for money back or exchange, any opened product with all supplied accessories and packaging; this excludes opened Apple items, computers, CD, DVD, video or software. Opened items returned after the 15-day period are subject to a minimum 20% to 30% restock fee up to 30 days from delivery. After 30 days, open items may not be returned.


Within 7 days, you may return, for money back, any item purchased from the Clearance Center.


Special orders are not returnable

Restocking fees may apply and can increase in instances where there is excessive wear and tear, damaged packaging, missing supplied accessories, or if the item is over the corresponding return period.

Certain items are factory service only and cannot be returned to Vann"s per the manufacturer. please consult the product packaging or a Vann"s customer service representative for further information.

We will issue a full refund or exchange for items that meet the above conditions. Return shipping costs will only be refunded if the return is a result of an error by Vann's, if there is physical damage to the product itself, or if a manufacturing defect is discovered during our regular return policy. Opened items returned after the 15-day period are subject to a minimum 20% restock fee to increase after 30 days. Unopened items returned after the corresponding 30 day period are also subject to a minimum 20% restock fee. Restocking fees can be increased in instances where there is excessive wear & tear, damaged packaging or if the item is over the corresponding return period.

All returned products must have a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#). Please apply for an RMA# by calling 800-769-5668 or contacting us through our help page. Please have a copy of your receipt in-hand when calling and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Any product returned without an RMA, with missing or damaged original contents, opened software, or false claims of damage or working condition will be assessed a minimum 20% restocking fee.

Certain items are Factory Service Only and cannot be returned to Vanns.com per the manufacturer. Please consult the product packaging or a Vanns.com Customer Service Representative for further information. Refusing A Package


If you should place an order with Vann's and then refuse a package for any reason other than damage to the merchandise in the box, please know that you will receive a refund for the amount of your original transaction less any shipping charges Vann's incurred in getting the package to you originally as well as the cost of the return shipping.

Packaging A Return


After receiving an RMA#, you have 7 days within which to have the item shipped and/or postmarked for return (actual shipping time will not count against your Return Time Period). If your return is not sent out within that period of time, Vanns.com reserves the right to assess a restocking fee or refuse return of the product.

  • Please write the RMA# clearly on the shipping label. (please do not write on the box!).
  • Pack the product in its original packaging with all original contents.
  • For your protection, we recommend you insure your shipment.
  • Your return will not be accepted without the RMA# clearly marked on the shipping label.

Freight TV Shipping Policy: Updated March 31, 2010

Please read this entire section to understand our freight/LTL TV shipping policy and delivery process. Freight/LTL shipping applies to all plasma panels and LCD/LED panels over 47" in size.

Our free shipping arrangement is for curbside delivery only. This means that the customer is responsible for getting the television from the curb into his or her residence. If your delivery driver offers to take the television into your home or building, the shipping company may charge you for that service.

After your order is processed at Vann's, and the shipment is on its way, the shipping company will contact you to set up a delivery time. You must be present to sign for your television when it arrives. When you do receive your TV, please check the box and the TV carefully for any obvious signs of damage. If the television is damaged, refuse the shipment and call Vanns.com at 1-800-769-5668. Also, please write on the delivery receipt the reason for refusal.

If only the box appears to be damaged, please remember that we guarantee the condition of the item, not the box. If you accept delivery please note any damage on the delivery receipt. If you refuse the shipment and there is nothing wrong with the television, you will be charged the return shipping costs. If you accept delivery, open your box, and allow the television to warm to room temperature before you plug it into a power source (usually 4 hours). After you have plugged the TV in, make sure everying is in good working order. Any claims for concealed damage (not seen before accepting delivery) must be made with Vann's within 48 hours of receipt.

You may choose to pick up your television at the shipping company's terminal. If you do, however, please be aware that once you accept the shipment and take it away from the terminal, any damage found after you take the package is the responsibility of the customer. Please look the television over carefully before signing for and accepting the merchandise.

If for any reason you elect to to return the television, you must do so within 15 days. It must be returned in the original box with the original packing material and with all the accessories. After 15 days, the purchase may only be returned in the original box and under certain terms and conditions. Please refer to the Return Policy explained above.
