With a total of 6.7 cubic feet of space, the MET8665 has a larger oven capacity than any standard 30" range to date. This will be a relief to anyone who hosts large family gatherings or likes to entertain friends, but what really helps set this freestanding range apart is its oven design. With two separate ovens in one range, the MET8665XS gives you more cooking options than most ranges do. When cooking something smaller like a pizza or a tray of cookies, you can use the smaller oven, using less energy. When you need to bake enough cookies for an entire classroom, or enough pizzas for your ball-game party, look to the 4.2 cu. ft. lower oven. And for the holiday get-together, you can use the lower oven to cook the bird while you use the upper oven for baking dessert. These are no ordinary ovens though. Both ovens feature bake and high/low broil options, but to help ensure your food is cooked just the way you like it, a Precision Cooking system is used in both ovens. Cleaning up if something boils over is a cinch, too. Both ovens offer self-clean cycles to burn any baked-on messes off, and the Delay Bake feature is available for cleaning cycles. The high heat used to self-clean isn't just good for clean-up, though — it also helps provide a Power Preheat that gets the oven to the desired temperature 40% faster.
