Get moving, not lost
Getting to your destination has never been simpler or more stress-free with Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. GPS is already factory-installed on many vehicle models and is now being incorporated into devices as small mobile phones and watches. As an information resource, GPS signals are available free, worldwide, courtesy of the U.S. government. Using illuminated maps and voice-guidance systems, GPS navigation devices are an intrinsic part of the transition to paperless navigation. As easy to operate as a cell phone, the TomTom GO 930 provides real-time locations and directions, anywhere you happen to be. It's capable of giving you clear spoken instructions on where to go, in 36 languages, with over 50 voices to choose from. Primarily designed for use in your vehicle, this unit is completely portable. Switch it from the car to the truck to the motorhome with no setup, or carry it along on walks. You can take the TomTom GO 930 everywhere; and, unlike many of us, it never gets lost.
Enhanced Positioning Technology (EPT)
Your old GPS car navigation unit always wussed out in tunnels or amid sky scrapers. That's because it wasn't the GO 930. Ehanced Positioning Technology provides uninterrupted navigation, even when you are underground. The only thing that might mess with it are those pesky
What's your IQ?
Your GO 930 spent lots of time studying roads before it met you. In fact, it kind of needed to get out, if you know what I mean. Here's what I'm talking about: It studied traffic flow and lights, rotaries, rush-hour conjestion, historic traffic speeds (based on actual traffic, not speed limits) and espresso stops (no, that's just a wish in the TomTom well) for over 6.2 billion miles of road. The word reclusive comes to mind . . . Anyway, out of all that information, which was provided by other TomTom users, your GO 930 basically did a thesis project called "IQ Routes." Now you have access to cherished road tips that other drivers will never get their hands on. Like short-cuts. Rush-hour estimates. More accurate estimated times of arrival. And top secret directions to the best triple Americana in Seattle (there goes another penny down the TomTom think tank). So, like all geniuses, your GO 930's hard work has paid off. We're just really glad it's finally getting out on the road.
Can I get a little help here? Advanced Lane Guidance
If your kid's video games are getting more and more realistic, why not your GPS unit? That's what the GO 930 thinks. Say you're cruising towards New York for the first time. You're hands are sopping with sweat until . . . you remember. You glance to your GO 930 and a wave of relaxation comes over you. On the bright 4.3" screen, you see the eight lanes you're driving down. Only empty. No honking cars. Just a vivid view of what lane you need to navigate towards in the next five miles. You relax that death grip on the steering wheel. Thank you Advanced Lane Guide!
You can take it all with you
The GO 930 is compatible with 3rd generation and higher iPods (except the Shuffle). Plug it in and enjoy MP3's or Podcasts through the high-quality GO speaker or via your car stereo. Control the whole show using the GO 930 touchscreen.
3D directions
TomTom has pre-installed all the software and maps you need to navigate anywhere in the U.S. and Canada on one SD memory card included with the unit. Simply slide the card into the slot and you're on your way with uncluttered maps, easy-to-operate controls, and precise on-screen directions as well as verbal instructions. With large touchscreen icons, making selections is faster and less distracting than fumbling for the correct button. One of the screen displays is a keyboard with an intuitive approach to entering addresses. You need only type a few characters of the city or street name before TomTom GO 930 pulls up the correct option for you to choose. Specify the house number on a street or select a nearby intersection if you don't know the number. Vivid 3D navigation views allow a better understanding of your current position and any upcoming actions or points of interest.
Maps galore
The very latest maps of the U.S. from TomTom and Major Road Network of America are included with the TomTom GO 930. These maps give you comprehensive coverage of the country; but despite having more information than ever, they don't take up more memory because of the most recent memory-saving technology. If you're in an unfamiliar location but need to find a gas station, restaurant, parking facility, store, amusement attraction, or the airport, TomTom GO 930 will show you the way. Just touch the appropriate icon and choose from thousands of points of interest in more than 50 categories. Can't find what you're looking for? You can download millions of points of interest directly from the TomTom website.
