The DVDLS55 can play a variety of audio and video disc formats, including DVD-Audio (2-Channel), DVD-Video, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, HighMAT (Level 2), CD, CD-R/RW, including MP3, JPEG, and WMA files. The new standard for super high-fidelity sound, DVD-Audio discs provide multiple channel stereo, incredible storage capacity, and unique bonus materials not available on regular audio CDs. DVD-RAM playback gives you the ability to watch DVD-RAM and DVD-R discs created on a Panasonic DVD recorder. The DVDLS55 comes equipped with a diagonal 7-inch screen. Freestyle LCD Display means it can be manually adjusted to a variety of different angles that can accommodate a wide range of viewing positions.

The included rechargeable battery included for the DVDLS55 neatly fits in the main unit. This allows for the thin, stylish body of this portable DVD player to remain intact when using the battery, which provides a whopping 10 hours of viewing time after each charge. The DVDLS55 also allows for the connection of a second headphone with dual jacks. This is great when you've got two kids who both want to listen and you don't want to mediate taking turns. Or even better, use the built-in FM transmitter on the unit to send the sound from your portable DVD player through your car's speakers so everyone can hear it! And when you're about to run out of juice, the built-in recharger function means you just have to connect a battery pack to the player, plug in the AC adapter, and start recharging.
