Great sound bar, it has more than enough power to simulate the theater feel to it. Playing music with the pandora was great through my blu ray player, music sound quality will make you want to listen to more music. Watching blue man group and all I can say is wow.
Comparing this system with my Onkyo S7300 home theater system watching dark knight and saving private ryan, onkyo still is a better system since it has real sound coming from behind you. But polk will keep you on your toes.
Set up is way too easy, but if you are interested in buying this product, you need to understand two things. IHT 6000 does not support DTS format, but they made a software call digital logic that can convert regular stereo sound to surround soundand it works. You can connect this soundbar straight from tv or blu ray or your reciever. If you connect from blu ray, make sure you set your DTS setting in disable, downmix or pcm mode. It will play dts mode. If you dont, you wont get any sound. If your tv dont have digital optical output, and it has coax output, there is a coax to digital optical converter box you can buy for 17 bucks.
One last thing, Vanns customer service is absolutely satisfying. They are there to help you until you are satisfied, thank you for putting up with me

I love this speakers.
I have a 3 year old 22 TV that was second best back then.
so updating it with blue ray and wireless sound have been a problem for me. mainly because of the wiring.
with the polk iht6000 that was my only headache.
the octipal wire hooked up to my dish box with great sound but not my blue ray the other wire that comes with the speaks. hooks up to the headphone jack and not the digal output jack. you need a specail wire for that. but the digal jack is what the manual from polk tells you to plug into. so after a few hours and many bad words I read the if you have problem area and got sound.
and the sound is great in every area of my small living room and dining area.
great buy after the wiring was worked out.

I bought this soundbar for a secod tv we have. It was very easy to set up and worked great. It took m longer to unpackage it than to get it up and running. Very easy. Also, the learning mode is nice becuase you use your tvs remote to control the volume.

I purchased this Polk system so it will give me a better sound and it did.
It took me about ten minutes to connect everything and I was really surprised with the depth of sound.
Its not surround sound but its a big difference from my 63 plasmas speakers.
I would recomend this system if you dont want to deal with a lot of wires.
Vanns sales person was very helpfull and knowledgeable!

The Polk IHT6000 is a good product. The soundbar is crystal clear, even at loud volumes, while watching TV or Blu-Ray. I have noticed these speakers produce some of the background sounds not normally heard with flat panel television speakers. The sub is located close to my seating area and can be overpowering at times reflecting off my wood floors, so I keep it sub on the lowest volume setting.
