The golden rule
Imagine you've just gotten out of a heated pool on an autumn night. You're cold and wet. Now it's time to dry off. Why not jump right into a dry sauna and brush off with a sandpaper towel? If that doesn't sound fun to you, why would you do that to your clothes? Just because they don't have feelings doesn't mean your clothes aren't sensitive to abuse. They let you know, too. Think about how quickly some clothes fray or fade. Call it an anonymous tip, but one of the biggest culprits is your clothes dryer. If you put wet clothes in the dryer and hit start, most dryers will immediately begin blasting hot air and spinning the clothes as fast as possible, tumbling them against the unfriendly drum surface. They don't like that! Follow the golden rule and give your clothes the luxury treatment like you'd want after getting out of the water. That was Bosch's Vision with their new laundry series. Let them warm up gradually, and give them a plush towel. And once they're pretty warm, you can turn the heat down a bit so they don't cook! That's the sort of care the WTVC5330US provides your valuable wardrobe with. It's got a stainless steel drum that actually smooths with time, so your clothes get more gentle drying with each load. But better yet, the WTVC5330 is programmed to vary drying temperature based on the dryness level it senses, so it won't over bake your clothes like many dryers. It also uses lower temperature and higher volume than most models for better care. That's the sort of brilliant German engineering Bosch uses, because it knows your clothes are too expensive to buy monthly. Do unto your clothes what you'd want from them with the WTVC5330US from Bosch.
What was that?
If you've ever had the cops come to your door to investigate a noise disturbance because you did laundry at night, it might be time. If you've ever had a child run up to you screaming about the sky falling because you were drying towels, it might be time. If you text people across the room on laundry day because you can't hear each other yell, it might be time. Time for what, you ask? Time for new laundry machines. Older dryers and washers can cause quite a ruckus on laundry day. Forget trying to have a conversation! This might seem like no big deal, but are you really OK with adjusting your daily life because your washer is too loud to do things like relax, sleep, or talk to others? Do you really want to be controlled like that? If not, you're ready for the WTVC5330. This Bosch dryer uses innovative engineering to drastically reduce the din of your dryer. It lowers the noise level to a mellow 67dB. Normal conversation is about 70dB. That may seem like it's still a pretty loud dryer. But remember, sound doubles for every three decibels added, so this dryer is about half as loud as a normal discussion. That's a big improvement over the dryers of yesteryear that could actually damage hearing with prolonged exposure! Being able to run a load of socks without guests diving behind furniture is another big improvement. Protect your ears today with the WTVC5330US.
Bringing easy back
Washing machines are supposed to make your life easier, so why should you have to work around them all the time? You have to feng shui your rooms based on where you put your appliances. You have to manually make any adjustments to the machines, check to ensure there won't be any problems, and carefully monitor the washer and dryer to ensure smooth operation and to know when they're finished. It's enough to make bringing a washboard to the river sound appealing! But don't give up yet. New laundry machines have declared enough to be enough, and have taken great strides to make your life easier instead of more bothersome. Bosch is one of the best in the business at making this Vision a reality. Take the WTVC5330US, for example. It's stackable and offers three-way venting so you have a lot more placement options. There are numerous automatic features including sensors and temperature adjustments, so getting the right cycle is no longer a science. It also lets you know when the lint filter needs cleaning, so you don't have to remember to check it every cycle. A signal tells you when the cycle is done, but if you're not in the area, it will tumble your clothes periodically for up to an hour to avoid wrinkles setting in. With so many convenience features, maybe you won't need that washboard after all, unless of course you decide to start a bluegrass band.
Stack 'em up!
Bosch laundry sets are known to be some of the best out there. But until now, many people weren't able to implement Bosch quality and performance into their house because the sets haven't been stackable. But that's all changed. With the new WFVC5440UC/WTVC5330US pair, the dryer can be stacked on the washer (with an additional kit), allowing even more people to put Bosch to work in their house. Helping make this possible is an Anti-Vibration System (AVS), and balance control. But not only do these stabilize the machines enough to allow stacking, they provide the dryer with a quietness rating of 67dB, about that of normal conversation. If you're looking for a stackable set long on performance features, look no further than this Bosch pair.
Think we're full of hot air? Just wait.
If this all sounds too good to be true, you may not want to hear that this dryer gets even better. It has three different steam cycles. These use the gentle power of steam to refresh your clothes by relaxing wrinkles and removing odors. You can choose between Wrinkle Relax, Refresh, and a full Touch Up. And if you're in a hurry, don't worry; the steam cycles take as little as 12 minutes, no bull.
An eco-friendly dryer?
You hear a lot about washers with ENERGY STAR certification, but have you ever heard of an ENERGY STAR dryer? If so, you've been duped. ENERGY STAR doesn't rate dryers. Why, you ask? Well because of dryers' nature, blowing hot air on clothes while they spin, there really isn't much difference in energy use from one model to another. After all, clothes need that heat to dry, and that heat takes energy to create. Some things can help. Today's washers spin at speeds over 1000 RPM, spinning more water out of clothes so they spend less time in the dryer. But aside from a clothesline, there isn't a way to get water out of clothes without using energy to blow hot air on them. Until now, there hasn't been a way to squeeze more drying power from the same amount of energy. But Bosch is changing that. While their dryers can't really increase the efficiency of the drying process, they have come up with a way to reduce the energy use. By using the EcoAction button, energy usage can be reduced up to 10% on each cycle. This is possible by lowering the dryer temperature a little and extending the time of the cycle. So if you've got an extra few minutes, you can help save natural resources and money. And think about this: While 10% may seem paltry, especially when compared the 25% saved by washers and dishwashers with EcoAction, in real world energy and money, the dryer saves a lot more because it uses so much more to begin with. It's all part of Bosch's Vision for a better tomorrow. Then again, Bosch is the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for 2009, so does any of this really come as a surprise?
