City Navigator Software and MetroGuide data cards can be uploaded for street level map detail and access to business listings and points of interest. All you need to do is enter a street address or choose points of interest (such as restaurants, hotels, gas stations, banks and shopping areas) and your StreetPilot III Deluxe will display it on its on screen map along with your current location.

Communication is Key

Like StreetPilot and StreetPilot ColorMap, the StreetPilot III Deluxe is compact and portable. This dash-mounted unit can be operated by your vehicle's battery using the included cable, or by six AA batteries. Voice commands are provided through a combination 12-Volt power adapter and external speaker system. Your StreetPilot III Deluxe can be easily viewed in any lighting condition, thanks to its four inch, high-resolution, 16-color display. Its built-in basemap provides detail for interstates, interstate exit data, highways, rivers and lakes in the United States, Canada and Mexico (no exit data for Mexico), plus commonly used streets in metropolitan areas. With the press of a button, the built-in basemap will provide turn-by-turn guidance to a destination via interstates and highways. With downloaded maps from the included MapSource City Navigator CD-ROM, your StreetPilot will provide turn-by-turn guidance down to residential street-level detail.

Extra Storage & Extra Mapping

Included with your new StreetPilot III Deluxe, is a 128 megabyte data card that can be programmed with data from the new MapSource North America City Navigator v4.01 CD. This updated CD is designed specifically for your StreetPilot III and contains detailed street maps for major cities. This mapping software allows you to do automatic routing that even contains turn restrictions and other information. By simply entering an address or intersection or pointing at the map, the StreetPilot III Deluxe will automatically calculate a route and provide turn-by-turn directions to that location. You can also look up services and points of interest and view the address and phone number in addition to map location.

Power & Portability

Six AA batteries supply up to 2.5 hours of operation, or you can use the included cigarette lighter adapter to power the unit. Either way, you can quickly transfer your StreetPilot to another vehicle for continuous pinpoint navigation. This Deluxe version comes with a Portable Mount so you can easily move your StreetPilot from place to place. You can also transfer data from your StreetPilot to your PC and back with the included PC download cable.
