Quad color paints an entirely new picture

The four color Quad Pixel technology in the Sharp 1080p LC-46LE830U flat panel TV creates a brighter picture with far more color possibilities than other televisions, since four is more than three. There's lots of complicated math involved, but adding yellow to the traditional Red/Green/Blue lineup increases the number of displayable colors… a lot. While you may not be able to distinguish each and every one of them, you'll notice a more detailed and richer picture. Especially since the LC46E830U adds Quad Pixel Plus, which smoothes all those colors and clearly defines images by controlling all 8 million sub-pixels individually. That's a lot of control.
