I really wanted to like these. I bought a pair of V-Minis plus a V-Mini Center to turn my Veritas 5.1 Bookshelves into a 5 channel setup. Figured the matching components and finish would complement the Veritas perfectly. Wrong on both counts.
Be advised, the V-Mini rosenut finish is more of a matte finish than the Veritas line, and significantly darker. So they dont match.
More importantly, these really do not sound so hot, even after break-in. Yes, they are crisp. And I suppose they could be called punchy. But they are a grating, overly bright kind of crisp. And punchy only in the sense that they pop mightily trying to reproduce upper mid bass. They give up entirely lower down, to the point where you simply have no idea that there IS a kickdrum in some music. I did a bunch of A-B-C-D listening in my home with multiple speakers and amps, and these V-Minis came in last in every configuration. They become just ok when helped by a sub, but the highs still sound shrill and the mids still sound hollow and distant, like a speakerphone.
The bigger Veritas 5.1s have their own issues, but are generally good-sounding beautiful-looking speakers. These, not so much. I ended up buying the Boston Acoustics SoundWare S 5.1 system recently, and it is head and shoulders above what the V-Minis could accomplish. If you are looking to build a full setup, the Bostons will cost about half as much as a 5-channel set of the V-Mini line, will fit anywhere, and include a surprisingly good subwoofer to boot.
If you are just looking to use the V-Minis as an attractive 2 channel music system, clearly some other reviewers have liked them for that. I certainly did not, and paid the restocking fee to rid myself of them.

These are great bookshelf speaker. In fact they blew me away for the sound they produce from such small speaker. I upgraded to them to replace my energy rc micro front LR speaker, and they worked out pretty well. Had to replace the center speaker as well with Veritas mini center speaker. In fact my energy rc micro surrounds sound much better now i think it has to do with these speakers being more efficient, hence require less load current to drive them. hence good for your receiver as well.
Very clear and crisp sound. And the speaker is very true to their specs. One thing I really about this speaker is that it is not producing any overwhelming, boomy sound. It sounds very pure and natural, and shows no distortion even at very high volumes. I do recommend to try to break-in for around 50-60 hours before trying to crank them up.

Love the great sound from these small speakers.
Price and quick delivery were great from Vanns
Would recommend these speakers to anyone looking for small speakers.
The included brackets worked great for wall mounting and saved me from having to pay for mounting brackets.
I was willing to sacrifice base to get smaller speakers that looked better and were easier to wall mount.

I like this speaker very much. It may be bright for some, but it is perfect for my aged ears. Vocals are very good. Larger speakers too often add so much warmth to a voice it muddies the presentation. Not with this speaker. Energy kept the response flat & did not add a lot of false bass sound that ruins so many small speakers.
The speaker I bought was a cosmetically damaged unit. It was in fact worse that I anticipated by the description. Oh well. That was the only downside.

Using these speakers as a desktop audio system. Good clarity and depth. Bass is clean and strong. I have paired these up with a TEAC A-H01 USB DAC Amplifier.

Im not exactly an audiophile, so Im not necessarily qualified to say whether they are bright, clean, crisp or whatever. What I do know is that they look great, theyre small enough that my wife didnt even comment when I set them up and they improved my listening experience, especially for music.
I bought these to augment my rc-micro ht set. Theyre able to reach down a bit lower into the 80-100hz range, vs. the micros which audyssey was consistently setting the crossover at ~200 for.

Having experienced Energy speakers from the Pointe 1e to the CB20 and the Veritas 5.1, I thought I could not be surprised how wrong I was. Although these speakers are the size of a Kleenex box, their sound is large enough to fill a smallish room and then some. The definition throughout the sound range is exceptional, only yielding slightly to their bigger brothers the V5.1s. I am hearing more music than I have for years. Despite 24-7 tinnitus and hearing loss in my left ear, these speakers really bring back the joy of music. Although the size of my room only allows me to place these speakers four feet apart, the sound stage they present is stunning. A very happy listener I.

This is a beautiful little speaker with an included mount. The mount is a little bit of a pain to use though very functional.
I'm not sure how these sound in two channel. I'm using them as height speakers in my HT setup that consists of Energy RC series also in Rosenut. These have a gloss finish but complement the RCs well. All of the overhead sound effects in movie tracks sound great. Rain, thunder, choppers, aircraft, spacecraft, alien craft, birds, etc. I have these crossed over at 80Hz in my system Denon 4311 AVR..

The V mini is an amazing sounding monitor. Ive got them on my desktop with a little Nuforce amp and they sound sweet! The finish is cool too. I was waffling back and forth between rosenut and black and ended up going with black
