Introducing the TCi series
TCi Series In-Wall/In-Ceiling Loudspeakers represent the "better" level of performance in Polk's "good, better, best" value/performance philosophy of custom install products. The TC620i is the same cutout size and uses the same pre-construction bracket as the SC60 and LC60i models, making it easy to step up or down Polk's line before or after project completion.Mix and match TCi In-Wall/In-Ceiling Loudspeakers with Polk Audio RTi Series loudspeakers to create a voice-matched system boasting a realistic surround sound environment without the space requirements of traditional speaker systems (RTi front stage, TCi rear surrounds for example).
Dynamic Balance
The drivers and tweeters used in Polk home speakers feature Dynamic Balance. What's this mean? Just as an x-ray enables a physician to discover the root cause of a symptom and effect the right treatment for a cure, laser imaging allowed Polk engineers to find the right combinations of materials, geometry, and construction techniques to tune out the offending resonance. Polk calls this technology Dynamic Balance. Dynamic Balance technology produces flat frequency response, sharp detail, transparency, and an ability to play program material with wide dynamic range at life-like volume levels without a hint of strain. Clean, clear, effortless sound results.
Full-bodied sound
Here are the nuts and bolts on why your TC620i speakers sound so good. Wherever they're installed, the wide dispersion design offers even sound-coverage — even for large rooms. The rubber driver surround outlasts cheap foam surrounds for years of trouble free performance. They're also timbre-matched to the whole Polk Audio RTi Series. And the infinite baffle tuning uses the virtual enclosure of in-wall space for resounding bass response. Go ahead. Push play &mdash and see how these babies enrich your sonar experience.
Flexible installation
So just where are you going to put your new TC620i speakers? If you want to add the speakers to your jacuzzi, kitchen, or under-the-eve outdoor sound system, know that they're constructed with durable, moisture resistant materials. They can handle a little dew, but definitely not a rain storm. Keep in mind that in-wall speakers should be placed so that the tweeter is as close to ear level as possible for the best quality. Home Theater is another story, as the speakers can be used for front channel, rear channel, or other applications. Instructions are included covering both applications.
