For all of its compact, reticent appearance, the F/X Wireless Surround puts out one very big surround sound. It's starts with Polk's patented Controlled Dispersion Array (CDA) technology. CDA delivers realistic left, right, rear and surround staging for convincing 5.1 response. It's also ported, for big bass response. Add to the package 4 2.5" full-range drivers and one 5.25" woofer, all powered via the 120W multichannel DSP amplifier, and you'll find it hard to believe the all-enveloping sound hitting your tympanic membrane is coming from one unit.

Polk's F/X Wireless Surround speaker takes the headache out of home theater in so many ways. Forget stringing speakers and speaker cables hither and yon, the F/X is wireless. That means, it has no wires, no cables, no muss, no fuss. Place it wherever you want rear surround sound: on the floor, on a behind-the-sofa table, on a shelf — its "smart" Polk Digital Logic technology adapts the sound to any size room. Plus, a 3-position (floor, sofaback table, shelf) DSP Controller allows you to optimize the sound even further for perfect imaging for almost any room.

Come on, there has to be some wire somewhere?

Well, it's true. The transmitter does need to be connected to your receiver. But Polk solved that problem to by included RCA connectors and speaker wire sets, allowing you plug-and-play connectivity: the state-of-the-art 2.4GHz transmitter provides instant, lossless signal response. And because the Surround F/X is an amplified speaker, it will need to be plugged into a standard electrical outlet. But now there's no need to run speaker cables from the front to the back of your room to get great surround sound performance!
