Sensor Cooking is smart cooking
Smooth and sleek, Sharp's R420LW looks as good as it cooks. 1100 watts of power makes for quick, efficient cooking. A large, 14.12" turntable provides even cooking with no effort on your part, while the spacious, 1.4 cubic feet of space give your foods ample elbow room. Plus, Sharp's R420LW has so many Sensor Cook options, there's practically no need to mess around with time cooking. Sensor Reheat senses the heat level and moisture content of the food and adjusts cooking accordingly. Sensor Cook provides nine pre-set options ranging from Baked Potatoes to Rice to, of course, Popcorn. When foods are done, the R420LW provides further instructions such as 'Let Stand', so even the anti-chef can get dinner done right.

For the price, this has so far been an awesome microwave. The one I replaced I had only owned 18 months, but it was loud and interfered with my electronics when it ran. The Sharp has been quiet, really working well for defrosting, reheating different types of foods, and even cooked frozen shrimp perfectly. So far has been well worth the money.

Our old Sharp microwave finally died after 11 years. I wanted to stick with the same brand since the last one held up for so long. I haven't used the preset buttons much yet, and I haven't used the sensor cooking option at all. Our other machine didn't have a bunch of options and I haven't taken the time to figure these out. It heats food quickly and pretty darn quietly. So far so good, I just hope it lasts as long as the last one did! My only complaint is the number of steps it takes to set the timer, which really isn't too bad just something different to get used to.

This is an outstanding microwave! I purchased this as a gift for my sister, and had a chance to use it while I was staying with her. Holy Cow!! Love the simplicity of the keypad. And the interior is quite roomy! Its quite a bit nicer than the over the stove microwave we currently own. Its sturdy, roomy inside, and has plenty of options to cook or defrost your food. AND it was on sale when I purchased it. Thanks Vann's! You made me look like a hero. My sister just loves it!!!

We really like our Microwave. It cooks popcorn like a charm and its the only one that you can actually use the popcorn button and it doesnt burn. It cooks vegetables perfectly too.
