The power of the drum

So &mdash here is something you need to know up front that separates this dryer from most of the pack. Bosch uses a stainless steel inclined drum design in the NEXXT Dryers. The 17.6 lb. capacity drum easily accommodates king sized comforters allowing them to expand and fluff. The drum is 6.7 cu. ft. and does not hold odors, stain, or rust. And, to protect the delicate fibers in your wardrobe, each of the 685 rear drum holes is double stamped and the coil metal is joined with a "clinched" seam. Ultra-smooth interior drum surfaces prevent damage to your valuable wardrobe. The drum rotates on bearings for a smooth operation, and reduced noise. The drum will last the life of the machine. Bosch's exclusive DUOtronic system combines moisture and temperature sensors to deliver precision drying automatically. Here's how it works. Temperature sensors are strategically placed within the drum to monitor the temperature of the selected drying cycle based on the fabric selection. This ensures precise drying results. The Moisture Sensor is placed on the front of the door opening for more accurate detection of moisture content. This sensor detects the moisture based on the level of resistance when the garments rotate and come in contact with the moisture sensor. More moisture creates less resistance. Less resistance demands continued drying time. Simultaneously, moderate temperature air flows through the 685 holes at a high velocity. As the fabric dries and the resistance is greater, the demand for heat and time diminishes. The heating element begins to shut down, and, by the time the clothes are dry, they have cooled--they are not hot. Not only does this process eliminate over-drying, which is damaging to your garments, but it also prevents set-in wrinkles after the cycle has stopped and the garments are resting. Extra-fine lint filter

Bosch Nexxt Washers and Dryers care for your clothes. During the gentle washing process, a minimal amount of lint is produced because your garment's fibers do not break down. Therefore, when your garments are transferred into the drying process, that minimal amount of lint is captured by an easy-to-clean, extremely fine mesh filter. This filter prevents lint from re-circulating with the garments, and the exhaust ducting system remains clear of excessive lint accumulation.

Asymmetric paddles

Bosch Asymmetric Paddles eliminate the likelihood of damp clothes at the end of the dryer cycle. Together with moisture sensors, the Asymmetric Paddles assist in providing an accurate detection of the moisture that remains in your garments. The Asymmetric Paddles direct your garments to tumble in two directions, back-to-front and side-to-side.
