Small Package, Big Punch
Smaller than most TV remote controls, the Garmin Quest provides plenty of display viewing area, but doesn't demand much room on the dashboard or in your briefcase. Its unique antenna folds away flush when not in use and you can connect an optional (not included) external GPS antenna if you wish. The Quest is packed with high-end navigation features from other Garmin navigators, yet is the most portable of them all. You can move it from vehicle to vehicle, or slip it into your pocket for street-level directions when you're on foot. Direct sunlight isn't a problem for the bright, 256-color display showing you turn-by-turn route instructions; and, if the 12VDC adapter cable is connected, there's also voice guidance from the external speaker to get you where you're going.
In-Car Navigation--Never So Easy!
With the Garmin Quest, your access to in-car navigation information has never been so easy. The automatic turn-by-turn routing and voice prompts make it perfect for business or vacation, getting you where you're going accurately and safely. This Quest was designed to replace--at a lower cost--the combination GPS unit/laptop computer/mapping software systems that many people use to maneuver around the country today. Built-in Americas basemap software stores an incredible array of data, including: state and country boundaries, lakes, rivers, streams, airports, cities, towns, coastlines, state and interstate highways, local thoroughfares and secondary roads within metro areas, and interstate highway exit information for services such as food, lodging, gas, and other automotive services. Also downloadable to the unit from the included Garmin PC-based (not Mac compatible) MapSource City Select CD-ROM is street-level detail for addresses, lists of the nearest hotels and restaurants, ATMs, and more. The Quest is compatible with the entire line of Garmin MapSource CDs and downloading is fast through the USB 1.1 connection (cable included).
Maps For Anywhere You Wander
Included with your Garmin Quest is a fully-unlocked MapSource City Select CD that provides full coverage of the entire United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Weekend adventurers will want to use the Quest while camping or fishing; it's waterproof and it's compatible with the entire Garmin MapSource line of outdoor cartography. There's a built-in, rechargeable, lithium-ion battery that's good for up to 20 hours per charge; and with 115 MBs of internal memory, this small--but powerful--GPS navigator has plenty of availble, built-in, map storage. So whether it's in your pocket or on your dash, the Quest gives you the freedom to travel light, with lots of map detail right at your fingertips.
