The slim and stylish LC20S7U utilizes Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View/Black TFT TN LCD panel, which provides high brightness, a 500:1 contrast ratio, and wide 170-degree viewing angles. This set is an EDTV monitor, which means it's compatible with 480p signals from progressive scan DVD players; but it can't display any HDTV signals.
