Connections are key
Equally as important for an A/V component's success as its user interface is its connectivity offerings. Heading up the list is the HDMI output, allowing you to send Full HD 1080p video and lossless surround sound from your HD cable or HD online sources straight to your HD receiver or HDTV. While coaxial cable and antenna jacks link to TV broadcasts, a CableCARD slot allows you to replace your cable box with the TiVo Premiere using a service-provider cable card. Further, two USB ports allow for connectivity to mobile devices and the ethernet port is, of course, your link to audio, video, and photos on the internet or on your home computer. Finally, use the digital optical audio output to send digital audio signals to your system's A/V receiver.
