Several Surround Sound Options

Offering incredible digital surround sound, DTS is the sound system of choice for many theaters. This portable DVD player is equipped with a built-in DTS decoder, eliminating the need for an external decoder. By connecting this DVD player directly to an A/V receiver with 5 or 6 discrete inputs, you can enjoy the amazing 5.1 channel digital surround sound offered by DTS encoded discs. The built-in Dolby Digital decoder delivers crisp, theater-like sound. Even without an elaborate home theater system, you can still enjoy the thrilling sound of Dolby Digital 5.1 channel soundtracks. Thanks to Advanced V.S.S., a surround sound effect is simulated by using only the two front speakers. With Headphone V.S.S. you can enjoy the same effect by yourself if you like.

High Speed Scan & Frame-by-Frame

Get crystal clear scan quality in five speeds, ranging from slow motion to high speed, in both forward and reverse. At the highest setting, you can search at an incredible 100-times the normal speed in order to rapidly locate desired points on a disc. When scanning at the initial forward setting, you can also hear the soundtrack. Frame Advance (forward & reverse) offers incredible control when you're looking for a specific image and Auto Switching Field/Frame Still adds versatility, making it easier to make fine picture adjustments among other things. The easy to use joystick control adds convenience by giving you more precise control.
