iSAPS Technology
iSAPS (Intelligent Scene Analysis based on Photographic Space) is a technology that applies statistical analysis to dramatically improve the performance of AF (autofocus), AE (auto exposure) and AWB (auto white balance). Canon's photographic "space" is based on a huge volume of data. By analyzing the frequency and parameters at which users took photographs, Canon was able to arrive at a statistical relationship among focal length, focus distance, scene brightness, and other factors. Equipped with statistical frequencies for different combinations of these factors and advanced prediction algorithms, the A70 can optimize AF/AE/AWB settings for any given scene more rapidly and more effectively.

Multi-Point AiAF
Canon's wide-area AiAF automatically selects one or more focusing points based on the position of the subject within the frame. This feature works in conjunction with iSAPS Technology to more quickly and accurately achieve autofocus under a wide variety of shooting conditions. Out-of-focus pictures when the subject is not centered is virtually a thing of the past.
Connect and Print
Printing your images is easy too. Simply connect your camera to a compatible Canon direct photo printer with the cable, select an image on the LCD screen and print; no computer necessary. Card Photo Printers and Bubble Jet Direct Photo Printers deliver a variety of high-quality prints and fun creative options. And if using your Windows XP or Mac OS X computer to print, PTP support will let you transfer images to your computer without any additional driver.
