Just because a camera is pocket-sized doesn't mean it can't also take great pictures. Take Canon's SX230 HS, for example. This point-and-shoot performs like a much larger camera. For starters, the 28mm wide-angle lens features an impressive 14x optical zoom. High ISO up to 3200 pairs with an optical image stabilizer and HS system to deliver you crystal-clear pictures even under less-than-ideal shooting conditions. Plenty of automatic and scene modes make snapping top-quality shots as easy as pressing the shutter, while a variety of photo effects let you add your own artistic touches to your photos. If you're after a little more creative control, the SX230, unlike many compact cameras, is happy to oblige. With a DIGIC 4 engine, your pictures will look just as great when you upload them as when you shoot them. Better still, Full HD 1920 x 1080 video recording is there whenever a picture just isn't enough. Perhaps the coolest feature of the Canon SX230HS, though, is the built-in GPS receiver. With it, your camera can be set up to automatically record the time and location of your photos. Then, included software lets you view a map of your photographic adventures.
