The high resolution 2.5" Crystal-View color LCD monitor eliminates glare and reflections, and the swiveling action lets you view the picture even while you move the camera around. Editing and Effects

The IEEE 1394 PC Interface (i.LINK) provides a high-speed link for you to easily transfer video and audio to a computer or some other compatible component like a Mini DV VCR. Besides the convenience, this allows you to transfer back and forth as much as you like without any deterioration in audio or video quality. Some exciting things can also be done right there in the camcorder, like the various digital effects you can use to create professional looking scene transitions and other artistic effects. An analog input makes line-in recording possible and an S-Video output adds even more possibilities. With or without a computer, this Cybercam makes it easy to make every video an entertaining experience.

Closing In

Most digital camcorders offer a combination zoom, with one number representing the optical power of the lens and a second number indicating how far the image can be digitally enlarged. Of the two, the optical range usually has the most impact on lens performance. This camcorder's lens has an optical zoom of 16x, providing a substantial level of magnification. If you want the picture to be even larger, the 700x digital zoom really brings you in on the details. Even better, this Hyper Zoom uses sophisticated processing known as Spline Interpolation to eliminate jagged edges and other forms of visual degradation that often plague lesser lenses. The flaws of inferior lenses are most noticeable at full magnification. With Spline Interpolation working for you, your shots are noticeably superior even when digitally enlarged hundreds of times.
