These days, your music comes from a variety of sources. You have your CDs, including a couple that your friend of family member burned for you. Then you have your MP3 player. The main unit has both AM and FM tuners built-in, and it can remember up to 30 different stations so you don't have to. This Sony mini system also has a built-in iPod dock. The dock, which supports many different versions of iPods and iPhones allows you to control your iPod to find and play just the song you're seeking. You can even control the iPod — or any other part of the system — with the included remote control. Plus, as a bonus, the iPod dock will charge your iToy while you listen. If your MP3 player isn't made by Apple, don't worry; the 3.5mm audio input will still gladly allow you to play music from your portable device. Small size, big sound

With two speakers and separate subwoofer, this Sony boombox can hit the highs and the lows of your music. And, with an amplifier capable of consistently pushing 540W of power to the speakers, it can hit the notes hard. Now, chances are that you're not going to be pushing this system to the limit often (if you do at all), but it's still nice to know that the power's there, so if you ever do want to crank the volume, you can count on sound that isn't washed-out.
