This Elite Music Tap is totally worthless as a network music player. I have had it for 6 months now Wired or wireless connections does not matter. It will freeze up in the middle of a playlist. This will require a 3 minute start up. The unit drops pieces of songs when using AirPlay with an IPad If you just want to plug your IPod or iPhone into the dock you have spent a lot of money for this function. Macworld has recently reviewed this and also noted the freezing issues. There is no fix for these problems. Pioneer is knowingly shipping these units with defective components. They are totally obtuse to my complaints Do not expect this Music Tap to work to any degree as a network music player. Anybody who likes this unit must not be trying to use the network capabilities.

This is a good product and sound quality is great. For the price compare to BOSE it is excellent to own. The Cons - this unit does not have HDMI port on the back as shown in the photos, I called Pioneer and they also confirmed it does not come with it and their web site also shown wrong info. The HDMI with DVD model sold in Japan per Pioneer info. Other thing is during USB source play - you can not fast forward the song only advance to next track - that is bad and Pioneer should fix-it via firmware. I kept this unit because the features are excellent..
