While you can choose to use your computer while streaming audio, the Squeezebox Radio's Always On Internet Radio technology lets you access internet radio even when your PC is turned off. Further, allowing simple, universal access to audio files on your iPod or other MP3 player, the Squeezebox Radio sports a 3.5mm line-level audio input jack and cable for connecting to the headphone output on your portable audio player.

With its built-in alarm clock, you can program the Squeezebox Radio to wake you up with the tunes of your choice. You can even program a different radio station and time for every day of the week. Further, at night, you don't have to worry about being bothered by the light from the LCD display — a built-in ambient-light sensor recognizes light conditions and automatically adjust the panel brightness to fit the environment.
