Powerful HDMI connectivity (2 inputs/1 output) allows for only uncompressed 1080i video to pass through directly to your HDMI capable television. Two component video inputs make for easy connection of a high end television or other components that take advantage of this high resolution video transfer. Composite AV, Optical and coaxial inputs let you plug in camcorders, MP3 players and other devices that provide even more entertainment for your home entertainment center.

Now the optimal speaker for your living room is only a press of a button away. Simply place the included microphone in your listening position and allow the strength fo Sony's Digital Siggnal Processing to take over. Speaker placement, distance, and delays are all adjusted automatically to ensure a worry-free listening experience. Special Digital Signal Processing allows for lip sync delay to adjust to amtch the Refresh rates of today's advanced flat panel televisions and microdisplays.

Sony's original Digital Cinema Sound technology uses exclusive DSP technology to recreate the precise environment of three Hollywood Dubbing Stages where your movies are created. That means you get true theater sound in your home from the source of your entertainment.

Built-in decoding for all the latest and greatest surround sound formats surrounds you with up to 5.1 separate channels of digital sound for sound quality that analog systems can't match. And now, with Dolby Digital EX decoding, this receiver has the technology to decode tracks that provide additional rear surround sound. Because not all your entertainment will have a Dolby Digital or DTS multichannel soundtrack, Sony's STRDG510 also incorporates Pro Logic II decoding.
