This is a awesome receiver for the price. Exactly what I was looking for to complete my home 3D theater experience. A ton of pros so far. I think it pushes better sound from my very average speakers. I'm no audiophile but I think this receiver makes my speakers sound way better than my previous receiver which by the way, was also an Onkyo, TXSR806. I had another Onkyo before that but honestly don't remember the number. lol I am definitely a fan of Onkyo products. I have read numerous reviews about this receier and others, some good, some bad. In my 3 experiences Onkyo makes a solid product and I have never had any problems. Set-up was a breeze. The only thing I wish was different was that this model came with a hard copy of instructions. I understand everyone wanting to saving money by going paperless. I now have a saved copy on my hard drive which will ensure I never misplace them but using a PDF for setup was an unwanted hassle. Didn't make setup any different other than having to use a laptop.

I have had it for a couple of weeks now.. very pleased overall. Lots of features. This is my first HDMI AV Received and it was a worthy upgrade. The overall the video quality is excellent. I am working through trying to get my laptop to mirror through the Onkyo. I am also pleased with the quality of apps like Pandora that run on it. The interface is clean and easy. I would definitely recommend this product based on my limited experience so far.

Product works as promised. Excellent quality. So many features, probably not doing half of what it really can do. Remote is bulky but by no means a deal breaker.

Great receiver! Love the net features, sound is great, I paired this up with Energy Classic 5.1 speakers and it sounds great. I will say that the video disappeared one time, I had to unplug the unit for a minute then after plugging it back in the video resumed...hopefully it is a one time thing.

Works as advertised. Audyssey rules. Im clearly only scratching the surface of its capabilities, but frankly I couldnt be happier. One caveat the passthrough feature on the HDMI doesnt currently operate if I turn my TV off and then on. Basically, in order to watch TV, whether or not I want to use the receiver, I have to turn on the receiver. After the signal comes through, then I can flip the receiver off. This may be my TVs fault, but I thought Id mention it.

The receiver sounds great but beware, this receiver has issues with the HDMI out. When its working it is an awesome receiver until the video cuts out after a few hours and leaves me hanging, it really frustrating. The fix action is to unplug the receiver and plug it back in and this does work. I have been through 3 firmware updates and they tell me that each of these updates would fix the problem, but ends up disappointing me. I have replaced my HDMI cables with expensive monster cable and tried everything on Onkyos forum with no luck. Onkyo knows of this problem and I am about to return this receiver even though I like everything else about it.

The TXNR616 works great. From unbox to Go Live was about 30 minutes. Connections are simple and well labeled. All the features of the unit work well. The on screen display is great. iPhone connection worked well. System produces great sound I have all 7 channels with bass hooked up. Im only using the main output no secondary audiovideo. Did have to look at the manual as the on screen setup and connections were intuitive. I would recommend this product.
