Definitive's new StudioMonitors are very compact high-performance, magnetically shielded full-range bookshelf speakers. Their non-resonant monocoque cabinets feature Definitive's elegant piano-gloss black lacquer endcap/wraparound grille cloth styling. Enclosed are 1" pure aluminum dome tweeters (the same basic tweeter used in Definitive's flagship BP3000TL) perfectly blended to Definitive's signature cast-basket high-definition bass/midrange drivers tightly coupled to planar-technology pressure-driven, side-mounted subwoofers.
Stunning Sonic Performance
The StudioMonitor's sonic performance is truly stunning, producing huge razor-sharp, three-dimensional sonic images combined with incredible detail, ruler-flat frequency response and rich, full bass. Because the StudioMonitor SM450's are true full-range speakers with extended low-frequency characteristics, they deliver superb performance both as stand-alone speakers as well as when combined with separate subwoofers (which they are designed to seamlessly blend with).
