I have read through many reviews of this product and concluded that this would be the start of my first av system. I could not be happier with this system. It is of very solid wood construction that you rarely find. I have tried this speaker system with two different av units and see that these are capable to handle them both and feel that your av unit can do these babys justice or a disservice. How ever your configuration is you will get nice clear sound. Now I will say that through all the reviews and exclamations on how these are big did not prepare me for their size and automatically I felt I got a good value. With each speaker I pulled out I felt solid construction and weight. If you want to begin with something, begin with these and buy from Vanns.

We recently purchased the Onkyo 7.1-Channel Home Theater Speakers to go with our Samsung Blu-RayReceiver system, and cannot say enough about the awesome audio quality. The set- up for the speaker system was very easy. Our only issue was where to find the appropriate spot for the center speaker given space limitations within our entertainment center.
Fantastic audio output at a VERY reasonable price with a brand name we trusted.

Wow! was I surprised with these, I am no expert but the sound is great in my new theater. I am using the extra surround speakers for front hieght fill in using the Pioneer 1020k 7.1 amp.
I see that Vanns is out of these but if you get the chance to buy these anywhere for the $165.00 I paid, dont delay.

These speakers are a great value, especially considering the general prices of 7.1 speakers sets. They offer good sound for a good price from a trusted brand. For this price, you will not be getting speakers likely to blow away pure audiophiles, but considering the price, you should be quite happy with the package. I bought these to pair with a Sony STR-DN1020 7.2 system, so got everything for under $600 and it suits my needs. I think the speakers could handle a better receiver, though. I would recommend these for anyone needing a quality budget set-up.
Some things to know about these speakers...they are BIG. Not big enough to be impressive big...just big. The subwoofer could be an end table and the fronts and center are all significant size. The surround and rear are a bit smaller. Check your dimensions against the speaker to ensure theyll fit if you have special considerations, and you wont be hiding these speakers anywhere.
Also, you may wish to pick up some better speaker wire than what comes with it, but the speakers and wire are color coded, so it makes for easy installation with the package.
Packaged well in factory box as shipped by Vanns. No damage on arrival, though the box was a bit beat up. They also left in on my front door while I was at work, so if that could be an issue for you, see if you can make arrangements to be there to receive it.

I read many reviews and the price point was exactly what I needed. They are paired with an Onkyo receiver so the set up was simple. I still have the center and rear speakers in the box, but the sound quality from the fronts and the sub are great.
Would purchase again, especially for the price.
Only drawback is the cool colored coordinated speaker wires are a bit thin.

There isnt another speaker set in this price range on the market that can touch it. Of course if you compare it to $1000 sets you will hear a difference but if your budget is limited this is the way to go hands down.
The speakers are large for bookshelf and for the best sound there should be some space between the speaker and the wall so plan accordingly.
The subwoofer enclosure is really large. It does a good job of producing low frequencies but lacks the punch of more expensive products. Good for movies but noticeable in music.

I chose this set because the lower frequency range of the front and center speakers were much lower than those I currently own, and the subwoofer was much more powerful than what I currently had. So in short, I bought this set in the hopes that it would provide a richer experience in the 50 -150 hz range. I have been very impressed with its performance. Please take note of the size of the front and center speakers as they are much larger than other surround systems around this price range $200. I am very happy with my purchase.

If you are looking for a 7.1 speaker system at a price that cannot be beat, pull out that piece of plastic and give Vanns a call right now!
This is my 2nd set of these speakers from Vanns. I have an Onkyo HT-S790 running a set with a 50 plasma TV, and an Onkyo HT-S6300 using another set with a 110 1080p projection system.
I sold the speakers that came with the HT-S6300 and bought the SKS-HT540 speakers because I wanted the same tonal qualities I was already experiencing with the plasma set-up.
These speakers will spoil your ears!
The speaker enclosures are wooden, not plastic, and well made. The sounds they produce are crisp and clear, with a full bodied resonance that have you believing you paid quite a bit more than you actually did.
The fronts and center do not have hangers, but the surrounds do. I wouldnt want to hang the fronts anyway, as they have a bit of heft to them, and look great just lying around... If you take the time to position the speakers so they project to your sweet spot, you will be rewarded with a convergence of tonal bliss.
The powered sub woofer will rattle your windows if you allow it to do so, but adds to the total package at about 34 gain.
I was in a hurry when I installed the first set and used the supplied 20-22 gauge color-coded wiring. The 2nd set was set up with 14 gauge wire and to tell you the truth, I cannot tell the difference. Perhaps my ears may not be what they used to be, or maybe these speakers are just that good!
I believe I am correct on both counts.

If you want to buy these speakers read this first.
When you want to buy a product, you will like to have a lot information as possible. In my case, I have to rely on the review of others. No everyone put all the details on them. Also, Vanns did not have a 360 degree view so you can see the what were you getting. Most reviews were complaining about the speakers size. So I thought those people were crazy. For the price of the speaker 7.1 you do not care about their size. However, when the speakers arrived I was very surprise because of their size of them. So I was do deal with it. Also, the smaller speakers had hooks to hang them from the wall with a nail. The big ones, and the center speaker didnt. The bass you do not care because it goes on the floor.
So I have to buy extra hanger to install them on the back of the speaker to hang them from the wall, generally found on any hardware store.
Beside the installation, the speakers will blow your mind with the quality of the sound with the small price for a 7.1 style. So if you are able to deal with the size these speaker will be right ones for you. You will not be disappointment with them. Because of the installation process, the overall rating will get lower.

I recently upgraded my 300 watt system. Since everything I have is now HDMI I decided to have an economical home cinema. I just powered up my system last night using a new Sony receiver to drive the speakers. My house had a beautiful rumble from the sub. It was the opening scene of Harry Potter and the half blood prince. The Blu Ray channeled the sound through all speakers. These were very clear sounding and undistorted. My wife came into the room and was just as amazed. The receiver is a little low on the power to fully drive these speakers but I have no issue since my house sounded just as if it had a real thunderclap in my front room. These speakers were absolutely perfect for my budget and delivered beyond my expectations.

Just like the Cnet review if you have a limited budget for speakers these are great. Only drawback I had was there was no eyes for mounting the center speaker or the fronts, the fronts werent a big deal because I bought stands but the center I have to build a shelf to install. Sound quality is excellent. Oh yeah one more beef is I bought this with a second sub an onkyo skw-204, which I was told was the same, and it is except the one in the set did not come with a frequency setting so tuning the subs was difficult to do. But all in all great sound out of these inexpensive speakers. I had to purchase 250 feet of cable to run the surrounds cables that come with the sub and for the speakers are under rated and of poor quality but the is my humble opinion.

Id read several reviews on inexpensive but high quality speakers over the last several months. All the normal names came up.... Bose, Yamaha, Klipsch, etc. Id even considered several of the low end, 5.1 computer setups, like the Creative or Logitech systems.
But in the end, it was several reviews on the Onkyo system that pushed me over the edge.
The Onkyo set was 7.1, most others were 5.1. Onkyo sells the speakers by themselves, as well as with a receiver. To me, that said they must think highly enough of them to try and sell them on their own.
And the reviews I saw basically all said the same thing, for the money, you just cant beat the sound.
The speakers are not cube speakers. Theyre big. Or at least bigger than you might want if youre looking for tiny speakers that can blend in anywhere.
But they look decent enough, and they arent huge, so theyre relatively easy to place on shelves or hang on the wall.
One thing that I noticed right off. Theyre light. To the point of feeling almost flimsy. I wasnt thrilled with that, but I pressed on and set them all up.
Turned it on and just tried em raw. Not to great. I played with the manual adjustments and got things better but still not fantastic.
Then I pulled out the Audyssey mic included with the Onkyo Receiver Id bought separately. Went through that whole process and it made a world of difference.
Are they monitor quality speakers? Short answer. No. The surrounds are a bit thin and the sub especially seems underpowered.
But, for less than 200$, they can play music, movies, and games every bit as good as some of the more expensive sets I checked out in stores.
Highly recommended, unless youve just got a pile of cash you want to blow on more $$$ models.

I am using with an Onkyo HT-RC160 receiver and am very impressed. Set up is very easy as the speakers come with color coded speaker wires which saves some money right there. The spring loaded connectors are actually well built despite some reviews. The only time the connectors would be a problem is if youre trying to connect some ridiculous 8 gauge monster cables. The speaker wires sent with the system are probably 18-20 gauge and sound clean, crisp, and clear. The next time some audiophile tries to sell you some giant speaker cables have them hook them up and compare to smaller gauge wires and you wont be able to hear a difference. The physical size of the speakers are not as freighteningly large as some portray. The Sub is large but most are. The surround speakers were actually smaller than I imagined and blend into the room just fine. I am a believer that to get full range, room filling sound that you need a bigger speaker than the little satalite speakers that fit in your hand. The only negative I have is the sub. For the size of this thing and the fact that it is seperately powered, it doesnt create a lot of thump when listening to music. I have a smaller sub in another room that actually creates more bump. It does ok once you crank the volume to full on the sub and crank the bass setting on the tuner, but Im surprised to have to force it. That alone wouldnt prevent me from recommending this system. Best bang for the buck I could find and would purchase again.

I got these speakers for the media room and paired them with a yamaha V863 and are an excellent choice for 7.1 system.
here are some of the things for consideration.
1 the left and right speakers do not have keyholes to hang them so I have put them on regular wall brackets from home depot i could not find suitable brackets for them online.
2 assembly is a snap my room was prewired so i did not use the wires that came with it
3 the sub woofer is good but i at times it felt underpowered.
4 the speakers are not small but they are not that big either and will do good in a medium sized room.
In all its a great value for money

I dont think you will find a better set of 7.1 speakers for this price. However, the set does have its drawbacks. The speakers do not have good mounting options. I had to tie speaker wire into a loop around the one small eyelet on each speaker to then attach to a screw in the wall....certainly not a professional approach, but it works. The other drawbacks are the wiring you get with the system is flimsy and the subwoofer wire connection is not very long--about 6 feet..
Note All Seven speakers will only work when broadcasts or DVDs are made in 7.1 surround sound....otherwise its a basic 5.1 system for typical satellite and cable broadcasts.

When you see a polk surround speakers you would realize how big these onkyo speakers are. So just make your own judgement before buying it. Inface the cost is an advantage with these speakers.
The service is very good with Vanns in terms of delivery and quality. They were the one who had a best deal at the time of my purchase.

I find myself not having to adjust the volume as much as I did with my previous Onkyo setup Onkyo HTS760s.
Vanns did a wonderful job processing my order and getting it shipped to me within a couple of days - kudos to Vanns!

I put my own home theater system together admittedly with sound advice from my son who is into these things. He convinced me to go with a 7.1 system--wave of the future so he said. The speakers were the last component on my list. Id already decided to go with the Onkyo TX-SR607 AV receiver, but had a challenging time finding reasonably priced speakers until I discovered the SKS-HT540B at Vanns.com for a very good price. My system is in a relatively small room, so I do not need to crank up the decibels to get the volume level sufficient for good home theater listening. Although there are smaller systems available with higher performance specsat much higher costsI am completely satisfied with the performance of the Onkyo SKS-HT540B set of speakers.

The Good- These speakers have the range both in volume and sound quality. I have been able to set different settings for movies, games and regular TV and these speakers can deliver great sound both in full stereo one sound out of all left and another out of all right speakers and in 7.1 surround sound, where I often wondered if my house was making strange sounds because I heard things during TV and movies that I had no idea were part of the sound track. Many times did I pause something to chek the house late at night. The sound helps bring shows to life.
The bad- These are not small speakers. Check the measurements to ensure you can get them into your space and look good. No bad for the sound though!
The deal - The deal is, if you have the room to put these speakers in I seriously doubt you can touch the sound for twice the price.

I bought these speakers for my boyfriend for Christmas as an upgrade for his Onkyo Receiver that he has had for a few years. We are gamers first and foremost, with good action movies following second. The biggest complaint I had read about these speakers is that they do not sound good with music, but Ive listened to music through them and it sounds fine to me!
Explosions, gunfire and the sounds of enemies sneaking up behind you sound very, very good. Ive jumped on occasion, and the subwoofer adds a nice touch during air raids when the ground is rumbling. I love being able to hear the dialogue balance with loud noises during action movies so that I dont constantly have to adjust the volume, which was a HUGE problem with our old set.
Overall, I know that he is extremely pleased with them, with the exception that the wires could have been a bit longer for more reach. These speakers were a really great deal, and Im glad I bought them!

I have been very impressed. I really did not think better speakers would change sound that much, but I hear much more definition in the higher ranges and have pretty solid bass through the subwoofer. These do not compare to the $1000 systems that I have heard demonstrated places, but I have been very pleased with these just the same. When they say these are really big speakers, they are not kidding. These are huge! Make sure you have room for them before you get them.

The front and center speakers pack awesome power and the the bass only starts to distort at the highest volumes. I would definitely buy these speakers again.

They fit well in my living room but if youre going to buy make sure you look at the measurements first. For the price of these speakers I dont think you are going to find a better sounding speaker in the same price range. Maybe not even for a couple hundred dollars more. I spent hours researching 7.1 systems and receivers and found this was the best bang for the buck with the best reviews from others also. After hooking them up and listening to 7.1 movies, I was blown away. Very crisp sounding and the subwoofer wasnt bad either. Make sure you turn it down a tad though, I think the sub cant handle the full power of the amp. All in all, I give this system an 810

The main complaint I have is the lack of any mounting hardware for the satellite speakers besides that keyhole attach point on the backs of them. I do not wish to drill holes in the speakers nor do I want to hang them on the walls.

I bought these speakers to replace my 5.1 Sony HTIB speakers Ive had for 5 years. At first I really had to find a place to put the front 3 speakers because they are very large, honestly too large. I thought to myself if these speakers are large and have woofers in them they should put out plenty of soundbass, I was wrong. I was actually disappointed in the amount of bass the 7 speakers put out for the huge speakers in them. The subwoofer that is in this set is a pretty good sub and the best part of the set, except it rattles at high volumes maybe a defect. I also had to change the surround speakers to small in my receiver to get needed bass in the sub, which totally defeats the use of large front speakers. I ended up using my old front 3 speakers SONY MSP2 because the voices and dialogue were MUCH clearer and easlier to understand then the center in this set.
For the price, it is a GREAT starter set of 7.1 speakers. I would recommend this set to someone that only has 2-3 hundred for speakers. However I am an audiophile now and these just dont cut it. If you plan on keeping these, plan on buying a new center channel, and maybe a bigger subwoofer for a larger room. Im going with the SUB-12 now.
All in all I am now selling these speakers but as an entry level speaker set it was a great smoking deal, if even just for the subwoofer. You cant find any 7.1 speakers for the price at Vanns. Shipping was fast from Vanns as always.

I have these hooked up to a Denon AVR-2309ci.They are loud. They are awesome. I also ditched the 22 AWG wire that comes with the set and got 16 AWG wire. I couldnt have used the provided wire if I wanted to any way since each of the 7 wires are only about 15 feet in length and Im running the wire around the base boards of the floor and around the door frame so I have an average length of about 40 feet to each of the 4 surround speakers.
The front speakers carry a lot of deep, rich tones while the rear speakers are noticeably thinner both in actual dimensions and in sound quality. That is to be expected though since the speakers are a bit smaller and have only 1 mid-range woofer as compared to the 2 in each of the front speakers. This is all fine though because the idea is to provide surround noise which is usually background noise. You dont want the surround speakers which may be relatively close to your ears drowning out the sound of the front speakers which usually carries the main sound.
One thing I didnt like too much about the speakers was the ability to mount them. The 4 surround speakers each have 1 single screw hook at the very top of the back of the speakers the kind youd think to find on the back of a picture frame or something else youd hang on the wall. I have my 2 couches arranged in an L shape with 1 couch being against the wall so the 2 speakers on that side were no problem. I had speaker mounts that attached to 2 points with screws and then I mounted them on the wall. The other 2 are on stands which was tricky. Those 2 speakers are on the Sanus Hover series HF1B speaker stands. I got them because you can put the bent poles in and angle the speakers downward so I can match the angles of the other 2 that are mounted on the wall. The problem is that the only bracket the stands come with that are compatible with the bent poles assume 2 things about your speakers they are half this size at the very largest and they have have a screw hole or mounting bracket between 1 and 4 inches from the bottom of the speaker, not 8 inches from the bottom or 1 from the top as is the case here. I just had to use 2 screws and washers in each of the speakers to make sure they dont fall off the mounts 1 speaker already did with just 1 screw! yikes!. There is no hardware provided at all for the front 3 speakers so you are going to have to put them on stands or shelves of some sort unless you want to get creative. Also make sure you have room for the center speaker. I have a Samsung 46 LCD sitting on its provided pedestal on a tv stand. The center speaker is also on the tv stand but is taller than distance of the stand to the bottom of the tv screen so there was about half an inch or so of the bottom of the screen being blocked by the speaker until I got a couple of boards and propped the tv up.
Before I go I must say to all the naysayers on other reviews Ive read about the subwoofer, Onkyo states the subwoofer is 230W and some claim the back states its 130W or 140W. The fact of the matter is the subwoofer is powered by an amplifier that delivers up to 140W of its own power along with up to 130W of power from the LFE channel of your receiver. In my case I have 100W coming from the receiver so the subwoofer has up to 240W of power going to it. Now obviously there is not as much bass as there would be in more expensive speakerssubwoofers but this package is pretty much a starter set. If its any consolation, I have literally shook the floor and knocked things off bookshelves with the bass.
Overall, these are great speakers and if youre willing to be creative and put in a little work, they will look and sound much better than their price tag suggests.

These are awesome speakers. Hooked all of them up to a Denon AVR2808CI and the sound is amazing. There is no other 7 speaker PLUS subwoofer set of this quality for anywhere near this price. I had my shipment from Vanns in a few days and hookup was done in about 30 minutes due to using 16 gauge speaker wire and banana plugs instead of the wire that came with these speakers. That would be the only drawback to these speakers but even top quality $1,000 speakers dont come with wire or connecters. These speakers do but I wanted a higher quality speaker wire and connector but what is supplied with also work and its color coded for easy installation. Bottom line, great speakers for ANY price and a fantastic buy from Vanns at their price and service!

I did have to recalibrate once with my Sony STR-DG920 AV Receiver, but after I did that, everything sounded a lot better with the subwoofer.

I purchased the Onkyo speakers to mate with my Onkyo receiver and am very pleased. I didnt want to invest a small fortune but wanted a respectable sound quality, the Onkyo speakers met the bill.
Vanns service and information updates on the shipment status is excellent. I will utilize Vanns in the future.

My first impression of this 7.1 Speaker system from Onkyo was that the packaging was done quite well. None of the speakers experienced any nicks, abrasions, or scratches during the shipping process an exceptional feat considering the packages weight. The visual of the speakers is pretty much par for the course, the quality isnt as high as youd get from an audiophile grade speaker. With that said they appear to be well made and look pretty nice to my eye. The subwoofer seems nice and stout also.
Upon hooking up the speakers I was saddened to see 22AWG cables included with the speakers. With an 8 Ohm speaker the cable runs to the surround speakers offer an unacceptable amount of electrical resistance. Ive upgraded to 14AWG speaker cables for everything and used an upgraded cable for the subwoofer pre-out. Id suggest anyone buying this speaker package do the same, while the fronts sound the same I noticed a nice increase in sound quality from the rear speakers due to the larger wiring. With the budget price of these speakers, you really can afford to go out and get better cables. I actually look at the included cables as just a completely unneeded bonus, and their color coding really makes hook up easy.
I attached my 7.1 speakers to my Onkyo TX-SR605 and fired up X-Men 3 on Blu-Ray. Needless to say for the price this is a very big sound system! This completely blows away some of the HTIB speakers systems Ive heard priced as much as 4 or 5 times the cost of this system. The sound really fills my living room, which is roughly 600 sq ft with cathedral ceilings and it doesnt seem to struggle. The subwoofer is pretty accurate and offers plenty of power. I found a HD broadcast of a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert and found myself completely enveloped in warm sound from every direction. I didnt expect the sort of music performance this system offers, and Im extremely impressed.
As far as the speakers go, the surrounds are actually pretty small and thin, offering easy wall mounting. The fronts are also pretty small sized, but without wall mounts. Id recommend getting some speaker stands for the R&L channels. The center channel is a good size speaker, although to me its the weakest link of the system. I could imagine the center being the first place I upgrade, and while dialog seems pretty accurate, a little more sensitivity in the center channel wouldnt have hurt. Ive increased the gain a bit on the center channel and it seems to have helped clear up the dialog a little, sometimes though it still blends in too much with background noises.
In closing this system is basically an unreal deal, for someone looking to get into home theater you really cant afford not to start with this package. Onkyo should sell a lot of these systems at this remarkable price point.

I never really give reviews but I had to on this system it hands down the best home theater in a box for the price. Especially now since Vanns made them cheaper there the right choice for people who looking for quality speakers without busting your budget. I paid more with the Onkyo receiver and was worth it. Im sure now you can save by buying a better cheaper receiver or upgrade. The only con that I can think of are the surround sound speaker their not effeciente, their not as loud as you want them to be and they dont have a tweeter for the high frequency effects but they will do if your not extreme audio enthusiast like me. Over all speakers fantastic the subwofer is loud and heavy.

I searched my local retailers and then the web, the people at Vanns gave me the best deal and then threw in Free Shipping. The speakers arrived four days before they said they would.
The speakers sound fantastic. With our new HD video the family room really does seem like a theater, only more comfortable and convenient. DVDs, television, CDs, and games come through the speakers with all the effects built into them. Thanks again for the great deal and the great service.

The Onkyo 7.1 speaker system SKS-HT540 is waaay better than the price would indicate. Full rich sound, from the larger speaker cabinets than the ones that come with the 907. I almost bought that system, but Im very happy that I waited, did more research, and got these. I just don't think that the tiny satellite systems, and I listened to many, can reproduce the same quality that having larger speakers can do! They all sounded too tinny, not enough low end. These speakers rock, or can provide excellent classical music as well. The subwoofer is a delight, goes into standby mode by itself if it is not needed. Excellent value, made even better by Vanns low price! Thanks Vanns

I recently purchased this speaker setup for my new 7.1 surround sound system which includes the Onkyo TX-SR604 receiver. This set of speakers is a great match with this system and I am happy to have found such a great deal at Vanns. The package arrived one day early too!
The subwoofer sounds great and it is accurate and powerful. I have no problem with the size of the speakers or subwoofer and I think it actually helps with the quality of the sound these things put out. I have a large room with a cathedral ceiling and it fills it up remarkably well.
I researched speakers for quite some time before making this purchase, including going down to CC to compare the systems I was looking at in person. I have to say, these spaekers are as good as those costing upwards of 1,000 in a live comparison. I was willing to pay more to get the speakers I wanted, but after hearing these I realized all I was spending more money on was a label. Onkyo has outdone themselves with this setup!

I received these speakers about a week ago from Vanns. Yes, they are large, but these are real home theater speakers, not single 3 woofers in a plastic shell.
The dual woofers in the front and center speakers allow you to use a lower crossover frequency for sounds that go to the subwoofer. You may say why not send all low frequencies to the subwoofer since it is a 230 watt powered sub. By having your other speakers share the bass, you have a smoother low frequency response across the entire sound field. On some receivers Onkyo especially, you can set the front speakers to full range and actually double the bass by having the bass that is playing through the front speakers to simultaneously also play through the sub.
The front and center speakers and the sub are worth the price alone.
These speakers are set up with an Onkyo 604 receiver, an Optoma HD70 front projector, a 106 screen and a Toshiba A2 HD DVD player. The room size is 20 x 22. The speakers are great. The sound now matches the great picture .
Once again, these are home theater speakers.

i carefully read reviews and researched these speakers before buying and im NOT disappointed. i was looking to replace a 7.1 setup from Denon that had small stylish satellie speakers. well, the sound matched the speakers -- SMALL! yes, these Onkyos are a little larger than most common surround sets. but big sound resonates best from bigger speaker cabinets. if the Bose concept is so great, why dont movie theaters and rock concerts use tiny little speakers?? bottom line -- because you cant get the same big sound and resonance from tiny speakers. sound is based on vibration, and bigger speakers give bigger sound vibration. these Onkyos have full rich sound with deep bass and great highs as well. a lot of speakers can handle mid-range and bass fine, but fall by the side when it comes to higher registers. i often listen to Native American music with flutes and rich high tones. these Onkyos reproduce the full spectrum of these elegant flutes in full detail. and the price cant be beat. you wont be disappointed!!!

Ive been searching for a great sounding surround sound on a budget. Bought this Onkyo system and am blown away by it. I read several reviews on it and was impressed on how well it scored. I debated about buying it due to the size but really isnt that bad once everything is in place. The sound beats other systems I looked at that cost 4 times as much. I especially like the 7.1 set up. This system went into a large 18x25 family room with our tv in a corner. The music had to fill a large space which this does exceptionally well. I especially like the color coded speaker wire, made installation an ease. Wish the subwoofer cable was longer but that is easily replaced. The reviews are correct, the best system for the price and beats most HTIB.

I ordered this from Vanns 2 weeks ago - got it within a week and since then I am still amazed by the price I paid for so much - Vanns price dwarfed the competition first off - then to see what I got for it - for anyone looking for a large scale 7 channel speaker set - this is absolutely it - the sound is awesome - the looks of the speakers are outstanding - the subwoofer is huge! and it turns on and off by it self - anyone looking for a large subwoofer? This thing itself Id say is worth at least 75 of the price I paid! I have these hooked to a Yamaha HTR-5890 and the sound is excellent - hook up is self explanatory - this is the only system I could find that had 7 matched speakers, a decent subwoofer and power handling above 100 watts these can handle 130!. So anyone looking for a great looking affordable 7 channel system - who wants more than just your average tiny speakers - this is it.
