A better system at a better price
Sure, the sound from your TV's speakers isn't cutting it, but you want a sound system that complements your room, not some monster of a system that's tough to look at. Try the SoundWare S, then. This system includes everything you need to spruce up your sound, with a full 5.1-channel kit. But unlike other home theater setups, this one is anything but an eyesore, and it doesn't take up much space either. Each of the 5 satellite speakers have a small design. But they're also designed to be placed anywhere. The unique shape, while obviously attractive, is also very clever, allowing the speakers to be placed on surfaces or wall-mounted (with mounts included), facing virtually any direction. BassTrac circuitry combines with a 200W subwoofer (300W peak) to provide clear, clean bass for all your movies, games, shows, and more. For better sound from a better-looking system, order the SoundWare S at its low, low price today.
What's in the box?

I was using standard Panasonic home theater system was purchased through Vanns a while ago. But I wanted to upgrade to something better, smaller size not to occupy the living room and good finished speakers, the Boston S system came as #1 after having listening Bose, Klipsch and few other random system. I had bought these speakers for reasonably great price. It took a while to setup the subwoofer. Once all set, the sound was amazing with my Pioneer v1022K receiver. The sound clarify, bass and room was filled with great sound. I think this system has great finish and wanted to add 2 more speakers for 7.1 channel. Great buy and Vanns is amazing place to buy

The sound coming from the satellite speakers is amazing. The bass rocks from the sub with the exception the box should be heavier for a hard surface. I get a vibration when the bass is heavy. It did help when I put rubber pads on the bottom. The price was right for the system and looks great also.

At that price speakers are great. I would recomend that subwoofer have onoff switch on front windicator lite. How ever, I have a hearing problem and I'm very happy with these speakers that respond very well to bass and treble adjustments with a good receiver. Also mounting brackets could have a better range of adjustability. All said- great system!

I have had my Boston Accoustics SoundWare S System now for one week and am very pleased with the sound from these cube speakers as well as the sub-woofer. The notes and voices are clear for such small speakers. The sub-woofer is very powerful and when watching a movie, it truly makes one feel you are involved in the scene. The system itself is very attractive and very easy to setup. I love my Boston Accoustics SoundWare S System and definitly would recommend purchasing this system should you need a new speaker system.

I absolutely did not need these, but having read such good things about the small SoundWare XS, I was intrigued by the upgraded, upsized SoundWare S version, and bought an open-box set for no apparent reason. When I opened the damaged box, I was kind of alarmed by how light the softball-sized plastic satellites were. The metal grill makes them at least look durable, but these weight next to nothing. That is usually a bad sign. Same with the pretty large 10 inch down-firing subwoofer. Surprisingly light, and the cabinet sounds like it is about one eighth inch thick. I have stuck to music so far, and I am downright giddy about how musical these sound. If pressed to find a fault, I could say the satellites lack a bit of mid-bass for deeper male vocals and the like -- oh, and the speaker terminals do not accept banana plugs. But they sound way bigger than they are, the tweeter is not fatiguing or harsh, and the imaging is quite good. Honestly, they sound 90 percent as good as the excellent full-sized towers they are sitting on for now. The sub, despite the cheapy cabinet, seems to be worth the money Vanns is charging for the whole 5.1 kit. Specs say 32Hz, and I have no doubt about that. It plays bass-heavy content at reference volumes without any clipping or chuffing. And it seems perfectly matched to the satellites, without ever sounding boomy or giving away its location despite a pretty high cutoff. If you have been burned by HTIB garbage before, rest assured this is a Real Sub. I do not know how Boston pulled this off at this price point. They seem to have found the perfect places to keep costs down while still managing a very convincing, neutral sound and an attractive aesthetic. Plus, these come with all the mounting brackets a person could ever need. So if I ever figure out where to put this redundant system I foolishly bought, I know it will fit nicely. NOTE The subwoofer, by virtue of being so lightweight, can sound like it has a blown woofer if it is placed on an even slightly uneven hard floor -- and will even walk around the room under its own power. Putting at little rug under it solved both of these issues completely for me.

After an extensive search for a home theater system, I finally settled on the Boston Acoustics SoundWare S. Having experienced Bostons speakers before - a 2.1 system that Ive had with my computer - I had an idea of what to expect. Lets just say those expectations were blown away when I connected this system to my Yamaha RX-V671 receiver and used the tuners automated settings to setup the system. From start to finish, it took about an hour to setup. One thing to note - the mounting brackets for the speakers do not come with screws - and Boston Acoustics makes this well known if you read about the system before buying it. Their justification is the speakers can be mounted on practically anything and they cant provide the right hardware for mounting on every surface. For the medium sized living room that I have, this is more than enough speaker - from watching TV to throwing a party - youll definitely get high quality sound. Given my receiver is a 7.1, I went ahead an ordered a second pair of satellite speakers and will hook those up to get the full effect of the system. Overall the speakers perform great - highs are clear and crisp and the subwoofer develops rich clear bass. The speakers do have their limitations and you can read all about them online, but for a normal person aka not an audiophile youll enjoy the listening experience and still have money in your wallet for buying dinner and a few HD-DVDs!
