Capable of pushing up to 100 Watts of power, the OS5.5 is built with a 5" interlaced carbon fiber cone woofer and Niles' patent pending integrated woofer/baffle assembly, the woofer cone-area to cabinet-width ratio is increased for enhanced bass output and precise imaging and acoustical accuracy. Plus, a 1" tri-laminate Teteron dome tweeter with ultra-wide dispersion provides clear and detailed high frequencies. Not to be left out, the butyl rubber cone surround damps resonance and provides exceptional durability. Outdoor design 101

This guideline may sound simple, but it's amazing how often it's ignored. By positioning the loudspeakers between 12' to 15' of the listening area, you provide quality sound for the listeners at comfortable volume levels, without the need for huge amounts of amplifier power. If you're working with a larger space, say a pool area, add more speakers instead of just cranking the volume. Really, nobody's going to want to hang at your BBQ if they can't hear anything over the distortion.
