Your center channel speaker is the workhorse of your home theatre system. Not only does it handle nearly all of the dialogue (thatâ€™s nearly a whopping 60% of the audio) in your speaker system, it also acts as one of the main keystones for your system, tying together the sound from the rest of your home theatre. With so much to do, itâ€™s a good thing Klipsch makes a speaker like the Synergy C20. An aluminum tweeter coupled with Klipschâ€™s Tractrix horn handle your highs with amazing clarity, while dual 5.25â€� woofers provide excellent bass support. To further improve the clarity of your highs and the width of your soundstage, Klipsch has placed the tweeter in a linear travel suspension that allows the tweeter to vibrate left and right.

Your very own horn section

With a single speaker handling as much sound as the Synergy C20, it has to be efficient in how it uses its power. Because of its size, the tweeter tends to be the most inefficient portion of a loudspeaker, and for a speaker that handles a lot of highs, that can be a problem. Thatâ€™s where the coupled Tractrix horn steps in — by allowing the tweeter to push the same amount of sound into a greater area, itâ€™s able to amplify the sound without having to rely on more power. With a design thatâ€™s been tweaked and improved over the last 60 years, it not only makes the speaker louder and more efficient, it also helps to reduce distortion, widen the dynamic range, and increase the overall soundstage for the speaker. Not bad for one little horn.
