Now Where's The One You Need?
So you have your TV remote, your receiver remote, a remote to control the DVD player, a remote for the cable, and a remote for the CD player. But, every time you want to watch a movie, listen to music, or flip through the cable channels, you can never find the right remote. Problem solved. With the Harmony 670 Advanced Universal Remote, you can get rid of all your old clickers. This remote can be programmed to control up to 15 different components. Worried it won't work with your equipment? Rest easy. The list of compatible devices contains over 175,000 different products from over 5,000 different brands, so you're sure to be able to use any device, new or old, from across the room. So, you don't have to worry about locking up all your old remotes. Go ahead and let the kids (or spouse for that matter) use the remotes all they want. If they lose it, you won't miss a minute of your favorite show because you were hunting for the clicker. Just be sure to hide your new Harmony well (but not so well you can't find it).
The Touch Of Destiny
OK, maybe they aren't that dramatic, but Harmony's one-touch activities are pretty exciting. You don't need a PhD in programming to watch a movie any more. Rather than press 15 different buttons to turn on the TV, turn on the receiver, switch the receiver to DVD, turn the DVD player on, and play the movie, simply press "Watch DVD", and your remote will do all that for you. Done? Press "System Off" to power down all your components. With controls this easy, even your spouse can do it.
No More Programming Code Sheets!
Gone are the days when you got blisters from programming your remote to control more than one device. Rather than set up your new universal remote using a sheet full of code numbers, simply hook your remote up to your computer using the included USB cable, and as long as you're using either a Windows 2000, XP, or Vista PC or a Mac with OS X v. 10.3 with a CD-ROM drive and internet access, you're good to go. Select all your components, and program your remote exactly how you want to using the simple step-by-step instructions. Or, if you'd rather, simply transfer commands from your older control devices using the designated Learning Port. How much easier could it get?
"Uh-oh."
Uh-oh is one word you definitely don't want to hear yourself say when using your remote control. But, should you have an "oopsies" incident, you needn't curl up in a ball or start sucking your thumb. Harmony is the only remote with a designated help button. So, if you manage to screw things up beyond your ability to repair, just press "Help" and your remote will do just that. It will guide you through questions using the LCD display screen, and make changes using the information you give it until the problem is solved. Still not working? Harmony offers free customer support, whether you have a serious problem, or just a simple question.
