Sunglasses for your lens
What do you do when the sun's too bright? You put on sunglasses. When there's too much light for the photograph you want to take, you can add a Lenmar Camlink Neutral Density Filter to your lens. Neutral density filters are gray glass used to reduce the amount of light transmitted through the lens to your camera's sensor or film. (This ND4 filter cuts the light by two f-stops.) They're neutral because they filter out all wavelengths of light equally and don't alter colors. This filter lets you use a wider aperture or a slower shutter speed. Assuming the same shutter speed, reduced light means a wider aperture for the same exposure. The benefit is a shallower depth of field that will isolate your subject from the foreground and the background for a dramatic effect. Assuming the same aperture, less light means a slower shutter speed for a longer exposure. This will allow you to deliberately blur motion in your shot, like water flowing over the falls. Any serious photographer needs this high quality optical glass filter from Lenmar.
