IR emitters — out of sight
When it comes to home décor, your preference is for simplicity and minimalism. That is, nothing more than the clean, sharp lines of furniture with only a few adornments — a vase, a photo frame, a candle. And this principle applies as much to your formal sitting room as to your home theater area. Accordingly, you've opted to install all of your A/V components (save the wall-mounted HDTV, of course) inside a closet or a closed wooden credenza. That way, your room's pristine feng shui remains completely uncluttered by big, black, boxy receivers, Blu-ray players, satellite receivers, etc. There's just one problem, though . . . now that all of your components are tucked away behind a door, you can no longer use your remote's infrared (IR) signal to command your system. The solution, of course, is an IR control system. A single, compact IR receiver unit mounted outside the cabinet communicates with all of the hidden components, maintaining your system's IR operation while keeping things clutter-free. And key to any IR system is one or more IR emitters. Used in conjunction with an IR receiver and a connecting block, the IRE2's compact IR emitter head mounts to an A/V component's front-panel IR receiver and seamlessly tranmsmitts IR signals to the intended device.
