Ive owned a lot of in-ear headphones and headphones in general and I have to say these Klipsch Image S4i are definitely my favorite highermid-range in-ears. Great clarity good enough to hear whether you have low-quality mp3s or not, haha and sweet lows. Yes, the bass will not satiate the needs of a true basshead, but these have a nice punch. Make sure to allow for a break-in period, as these will sound pretty muddy upon arrival.
As for the iPhone controls nailed it. The remote is actually functional, and the mic is reported to be clear on receiving callers end. Hope that helps!

I purchased these headpones to work with my first generation iPad and 2011 MacBook Pro and to replace a set of Bose in ear headphones that were accidently destroyed in a horrific vacuum cleaner accident.
The Klipsch eadphones have greatly superior sound quality over standard Apple earbuds when listening to music, very good bass response and the mic works is great when using Skype. Inline controls are handy but probably more so if I were out jogging with an iPod tucked into my pocket.
The product quality of these headphones is quite good although the wires are not as robust as the Bose headphones were. The Klipsch headphones seal off outside noise better than my old first generation Bose headphones and stay in place better.

I bought these headphones to use with my iPhone 4 and it works flawlessly and sounds great. I purchased these when they were on sale and I regret that I did not buy a second pair to have as backup. Great headphones!

Im not an audiophile by any means, but i do enjoy music and like to listen to music on my daily train commutes in NYC. I own an Ipod Touch 2nd Generation.
I realize that the quality of the sound really depends on the mp3 quality to begin with. So I cant assume that better speakers or headphones equals better sound. BUT I did happen to own a pair of $20 Sennheiser in-earphones before this pair. And to be honest, they actually sounded better. They had a deeper bass and a fuller sound.
That partially might have to do with the way they fit as well. The Image S4i earphones are shaped more like half a football rather than half a basketball. They dont seem to fit as snug as the round tips from my Sennheisers.
The S4i does have a nice angle to them the retail photos dont really show that from the side view so that they go more directly into the ear canal. At first it looks a little strange, but i realized it was done on purpose, and it looks good after putting them on. But again, does not fit my ear canal as well as id like Maybe its just me, but ive read other similar reviews about sound quality and the not-so-snug fit. Cant fit everyone i guess.
The main reason why I bought them was because i wanted a remote for my iPod. It got annoying to go in my pocket and turn on the screen to change songs. So now with these, Im able to change songs by just pressing buttons on the remote. I have to say, the remote works great. It has volume up and down, next song, previous song, play, and pause along with answer and end call. Pretty much everything you need. No advanced functions like shuffle and repeat etc.
The other reason why i chose these were for the looks. They just look so nice in white and chrome! I wanted to look unique while not being too flashy. This does the trick looking very sleek and sophisticated.
I have to say the build quality is actually pretty flimsyAs other reviews like on Amazon have indicated as well, would have definitely liked the insulation thicker and vital connection points reinforced. I think that Klipsch could have still kept the stylishness while achieving this.
Usually i wouldnt even look at buying these at $99.99. Thats just too much. But thanks to Vanns, i got it at $79.99, FREE shipping, and NO taxes. AND I got a bonus $15 iTunes gift card along with it, which ive already used up and enjoyed thoroughly. So i thought i got a great deal with Vanns. Thanks! I think Vanns does a great job. The shipping actually came much faster than UPS has predicted. But unfortunately that is not factored in with this product review...
Bottom Line
Way too expensive at MSRP $99.99, there are much better options out there for less. Not a good value. Does what it says, but still disappointing from a big name in audio like Klipsch. The ratings that reviewers give are very generous in my opinion.
Could go on about other things too, but it seems ive written quite a bit already...

I got these for my 16 year old daughter to replace some other after-market earbuds we had gotten her.
Here is my review, according to her...
...The bass is MUCH better and the lyrics- midrange- are so much clearer. I am hearing sounds in songs I hadnt heard before....
She is using these with an iPhone 3G. I would recommend these to anyone.

I think these are a bit steep at a hundred bucks. They dont sound much better to me that the ones that came with the iPhone, they do stay in the ear much better however and they are comfortable. I could see fifty dollars at best.
