In total, this model features a 25.1 cu. ft. capacity, with 17.4 cu. ft. of space in the fridge and the remaining 7.7 cu. ft. in the freezer. Four of a kind
Convenience times two! The PGSS5PJYSS, with its armoire styling, has four doors, which is twice as many as a standard refrigerator/freezer combo. This might seem strange at first, or even ridiculous, but bear with us, and you'll see why four actually makes much more sense. The doors come in sets. There are two doors to the refrigerator, and two to the freezer compartment. The refrigerator door arrangement is called french door, and is among the most popular designs in high-end refrigeration. Why is this so well-loved? First and foremost, with a french-door design, your door width is cut in half, so you can have a wider refrigerator with more space and still not need as much room for the door swing as a traditional model. Secondly, opening only one side lets less cool air out, keeping your food at a more stable temperature, and thus in better condition, as well as reducing energy costs.
