Also, as an industry exclusive, this wash system adds a second sensor that examines the levels of particles in the water and adjusts the water temperature and length of your wash cycle for optimal results every time. |

A hotter, safer wash |

| Dishwashers rely largely on thermal forces — in the form of heated water — that loosen stubborn stains to complete the wash cycle. However, in the heating of water in dishwashers with traditional heating elements, the water falls randomly onto a coil, which warms it inefficiently and creates a hazard. Bosch's SHX46L15UC passes the dish water, instead, through a heating chamber, thus allowing the water to reach temperatures of up to 161°F safely and quickly. Not only will each wash cycle you run through your SHX46L15UC use water heated in a safer manner to acheive a more thorough clean, you will be able to place plastic items in the bottom rack without fear of melting or damage. |

A new kind of drying |

| Unlike other drying systems that use unclean air from the kitchen's back wall, your SHX46L15UC uses the residual heat from the warm water inside its tub to dry the dishes in a process known as condensation drying. A sanitizing temperature of 161°F leaves residual heat in the tub, creating condensation along the cooler wall. The condensation is then drained so you'll never have to release steam into the kitchen. |
