Removable nylon-coated racks with Cushion-Tip™ tines combine with fold-down cup shelves, removable rack inserts, and a two-piece silverware basket to maximize use of each drawer's space. Additionally, a Sure-Hold® small-items mesh bag and two Sure-Hold light-item clips offer extra convenience for washing small, loose items like those pesky corn-on-the-cob skewers.
Performance and efficiency
There's more to the KUDD03DTSS's dual-drawer design than just style and convenience. In combination with a series of advanced wash functions, this KitchenAid dishwasher offers a high-performance, high-efficiency wash. Because each of the two dish drawers can be programmed and run independently, you have the option of washing smaller, half loads when you don't have enough dishes to fill both compartments. By running a smaller load, you are able to save on water, energy, time, and, in effect, money. Additionally, the KUDD03DTSS's Sensor Wash system customizes the wash to the specific needs of each load by automatically adjusting temperature and cycle time according to soil level. A better match between load and wash cycle reduces wash time and the water and energy used to wash, delivering efficient performance. Speaking of wash performance, a ProWash™ Bar supplements each compartment's wash arms for additional cleaning power. Also, the ProDry™ feature circulates air a the end of the cycle to assure that your dishes come out dry.

With its ability to grind down food particles, the built-in disposer eliminates the need to pre-rinse your dishes. Not just quiet — Whisper Quiet®
Using the advanced Whisper Quiet® Sound Insulation System, the KitchenAid KUDD03DTSS is able to reduce the sound level produced when it's running to a low 56dB. You can now stop serving after-dinner coffee with a side of earplugs.
Beyond clean
Taking your dishes to a new level beyond "clean", the KUDD03DTSS offers a Sani Rinse wash option. By raising the water temperature during the final rinse to approximately 155°F, this high-temperature rinse cycle is able to eliminate 99.9% of germs, sanitizing your dishes in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standard 184 for residential dishwashers.
