The golden rule

Well because of dryers' nature, blowing hot air on clothes while they spin, there really isn't much difference in energy use from one model to another. After all, clothes need that heat to dry, and that heat takes energy to create. Some things can help. Today's washers spin at speeds over 1000 RPM, spinning more water out of clothes so they spend less time in the dryer. But aside from a clothesline, there isn't a way to get water out of clothes without using energy to blow hot air on them. Until now, there hasn't been a way to squeeze more drying power from the same amount of energy. But Bosch is changing that. While their dryers can't really increase the efficiency of the drying process, they have come up with a way to reduce the energy use. By using the EcoAction button, energy usage can be reduced up to 10% on each cycle. This is possible by lowering the dryer temperature a little and extending the time of the cycle. So if you've got an extra few minutes, you can help save natural resources and money. And think about this: While 10% may seem paltry, especially when compared the 25% saved by washers and dishwashers with EcoAction, in real world energy and money, the dryer saves a lot more because it uses so much more to begin with.
