This allows you to connect a serial cable between your washer and dryer, at which point your washer will tell the dryer presets what to use to give you better clothes care, increased time savings, and greater convenience. Combine that with the DuoDry sensor-based drying system and numerous pre-programmed cycles, and your dryer knows how best to care for just about any load of laundry. Baffling? Not really, just clever.

In order to dry specialty items like hats, shoes, delicates, or even slacks in most driers, you have to purchase a separate rack insert, try to put it in place, take it out when you're done, and store it somewhere. GE thought enough was enough. So on their new Profile dryer, they included a baffle rack system. What this does is profides a quick easy way for drying clothes you don't want tumbled. On the DPV880GJMV, the rack is built-in, but not fixed, as is the drying hook. To use the rack for something like shoes, simply rotate the drum to the correct position, then pull the rack from the left baffle across to the right baffle and hook it in. In order to hang something like a dress shirt, simply pull down the hook from the top baffle and you're ready for a no-spin cycle! They're just as easy to put back. You can purchase an additional removable wire rack, but with the convenience of the built-in rack and hook system of the dryer, you'll probably never need it. This system is innovation at its best.

Drumroll please

A lot of thought went into the drum of the DPV880EJMV. The material is stainless steel. This metal is becoming more and more popular among appliance manufacturers these days. This is because stainless steel is very effective at resisting rust, and it's very durable. It won't chip or peel. Timed dry: with the timed dry option, you can adjust the drying time in 10-minute intervals up to 2.5 hours at your desired temperature. Sensor dry: allows you to choose a dryness level, and the load will stop once the built-in sensors have determined that the clothes have reached the desired amount of moisture content. My cycle: the my cycle option allows you to create, use, and store customized drying cycles so you can adjust the settings to "just how you like them."
