The vivid 2-D and 3-D navigation views allow a better understanding of your current position and any upcoming actions or points of interest. These additional maps are stored on CD and are installed using a USB cable. Both the map CDs and the cable are included with your purchase. Your PC must have Internet access, run Windows or Mac OS X 10.3 operating systems, and have a CD-ROM and USB port. TomTom ONE 130S' built-in Bluetooth receiver means you can download real-time TomTom PLUS services (sold separately) through the internet connection on your Bluetooth phone anytime and anywhere. TomTom PLUS gives you the real-time information you want on traffic congestions, weather conditions and extra downloads such as detailed city maps, additional voices, points of interest and much more. "Help Me!"

TomTom knows that things don't always go as planned, so, in typical Boy Scout fashion, they wanted to be prepared. That's why, on their new ONE 130S, they included a "Help Me" menu. This menu is for use in an emergency, and consists of a touchscreen 6 options. Choose from getting local emergency phone numbers, directions on how to go to help, either walking or driving, find your location, bring up a first-aid guide, or bring up other guides on-screen. So, next time life catches you "unaware", you'll be ready.

Sharing For The Greater Good

One cool feature on the ONE 130S is the Map Sharing Feature. Let's say you're driving along, getting directions to wherever it is you're going, and you come up to a road block. You can automatically correct your map as you drive (of course safely pulling off the road), and that route won't be included on future trips. But, it gets better. Bring your GPS unit home, connect it to your PC and access TomTom HOME. Now, you can send the information about the road block to TomTom, and they'll process it with other detour information sent to them, and update those with enough verification. Then, you can download all route updates near and far directly to you unit. Pretty neat, huh?
